MLB baseball betting odds: Rays still riding high, Dodgers making a move

Each week, get help with baseball picks our MLB Power Rankings, details the hottest teams in Major League Baseball.

1.Tampa Bay Rays – The winning continues. Make it seven in a row for the Florida boys, including 11 of their last 12. That streak included an impressive sweep over the world champion Red Sox. It's getting tougher and tougher to discount Tampa Bay.
2.Minnesota Twins – Minnesota has won five straight and is 18-3 in its last 21 games. The Twins' offense is off to a great start in July, averaging 7.6 runs per game this month. It's odd, since they've been one of the worst home run-hitting teams in the league this season.
3.Chicago White Sox – The Sox have won nine of 11. Volatile manager Ozzie Guillen recently published his email address so fans could send their complaints. They can't have too many right now.
4.Los Angeles Dodgers – The Dodgers look like they're capitalizing on Arizona's collapse in the NL West. LA has won five of six and was just a half game back for the division lead as of Monday.
5.Detroit Tigers – The Tigers took a bit of a tumble over the past week, losing four of six, but they've been playing so well lately we can't knock them out of the rankings just yet.

Team to watch:

Cincinnati – Strange, isn't it? But the Reds have won four in a row, including seven of nine. We're not betting they make any playoff noise, but they have a lot of young talent and could play spoiler down the stretch
