The college football regular season is coming to a close, which means that NCAA football betting players only have a few more opportunities to head to their sportsbooks to make their NCAA football picks. On Saturday, No.3 Oklahoma will try to build on their stunning rout of Texas Tech when they head to Stillwater to face No.12 Oklahoma State in the 102nd edition of the “Bedlam Series”. Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State odds are giving the nod to the Sooners, who are playing as well as anyone in the country right now.
The Sooners (10-1) put the pedal to the metal from the very beginning of their game with Texas Tech, racing out to a 42-7 halftime lead en route to a 65-21 destruction of the Red Raiders at home. Sam Bradford may have jumped into the Heisman lead with 304 yards and four touchdowns on only 14-of-19 passing, as the Sooners racked up 625 yards of offense. However, Oklahoma’s best play came on defense, as they snuffed out one of the best offenses in the country. Texas Tech pivot Graham Harrell still managed 361 yards and three touchdowns, but most of his production came in the second half when the game as already far out of reach. The Sooners forced three turnovers, and pressured Harrell more than anyone has this season. If it wasn’t for 11 penalties, Oklahoma would have easily hung 70 on the Red Raiders.
Oklahoma State (9-2) recovered from their beating at the hands of Texas Tech to drop Colorado 30-17 on the road, led by quarterback Zac Robinson, who was 15-of-23 for 217 yards with a touchdown and a pick, and he also added 61 yards and another score on the ground. This was a special game for Robinson, who grew up in Colorado but picked Oklahoma State over the Buffaloes. The difference was a fast start for the Cowboys, as they scored the first 13 points of the game and led 13-3 at the half.
Blake’s Pick: Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State odds have the Sooners as a 7.5-point favorite in this bitter rivalry matchup, having won seven of their last 10 against the Cowboys, including two straight trips to Stillwater. Oklahoma has scored at least 58 points in four consecutive games, and they now lead the nation in points. However, the Sooners’ defense will be the X-factor in this contest as they put together their best effort of the season against Texas Tech, and they will need to be on their toes again as Oklahoma State is seventh in the country in points and total offense. Bet on the Oklahoma Sooners to put a ton of points in this one, but another defense performance like last week would bolster the Sooners’ chances for the BCS title game.
