  • WHO: Boston College vs Florida State (-7)
  • WHAT: NCAA football betting
  • WHEN: Saturday, November 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET
  • WHERE: Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida
  • KEY STATS: Boston College is 6-2 against the spread in last eight games as an underdog; Florida State is 2-8 in last 10 games after a win against a conference rival
  • PICK: Florida State

Boston College vs Florida State picks will split down the middle as many people aren’t sure what to make of both teams. Florida State surprisingly sits atop the ACC but the jury is still out on quarterback Christian Ponder. Meanwhile, Boston College is 6-3 overall but has been wildly inconsistent over the past couple of weeks.

Those who bet online have watched Boston College go from having the sixth-ranked defense in the nation and an impressive 5-1 record when it headed to North Carolina, to allowing 45 points in two ACC losses before bouncing back against Notre Dame last weekend.

Online sports betting sharps know Boston College plays better as an underdog as its 6-2 in its last six games in that role. But pulling out a victory in Tallahassee might be tough.

Boston College vs Florida State odds have Florida State favored by a touchdown. Florida State is ranked in the Top 25 with a legitimate chance to make the ACC Championship game. Online sports betting sharps should take notice that Florida State has lost only two games this season by a combined total of 12 points.

Although Florida State started the season sluggishly, its running game has picked up and has taken a lot of pressure off of sophomore quarterback Christian Ponder. Florida State has rushed for multiple touchdowns in six of its nine games this year and is coming off a game against Clemson where it totaled 266 rushing yards.

Florida State is a team coming together at the right time and is building on each performance each week. Florida State has won its last three home games by an average margin of 14 points and since sportsbook odds are forcing us to only lay a touchdown, we would lean with laying the points.

BLAKE’S PICK: Boston College isn’t exactly road tested. It has played only three road games and lost its last game in North Carolina by 21 points. Florida State will win the game and move one step closer to playing in the ACC Championship game.

Blake understands the nuances of the game that only someone who has played would understand, and he was one of the few who gave the Giants a chance against the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.
