  • Tale of the Tape

It should be a wild night in the ring on Saturday when Wladimir Klitschko (-650 boxing odds to win) puts his IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles on the line against Tony “The Tiger” Thompson (+375 boxing odds to win).

Klitschko has had a strong boxing career, earning numerous titles while racking up a 50-3 record, including 44 by knockout. Many critics still question his overall legacy, however, thanks to a staggering lack of tough competition. Klitschko has rarely faced a fighter regarded as great—if ever—and is being punished for it.

Regardless, he's beat just about anyone who's crossed his path since he began his professional career. Thompson is looking to change that.

Thompson, 36 years old and a huge underdog, is looking to dish out the kind of punishment many argue Klitschko is incapable of taking. The 6'5” lefty American has lost just once in 32 fights.

Unfortunately for him, he's not known as a ferocious puncher, something that's given the current champion fits over the past few years. The definitely skews the boxing odds in Klitschko's favor.

Klitschko earned a unanimous decision victory over Sultan Ibragimov last February to unify two of the world heavyweight titles. Thompson has a 26-fight unbeaten streak.
