The talk of the NFL after Week 3 of the 2007-08 regular season is the Green Bay Packers. This team, led by 37-year old quarterback Brett Favre, has underperformed for the past few seasons but now they are perceived as potential playoff contenders. The Packers’ dominance was palpable as they defeated the favored San Diego Chargers 31-24 to remain one of the few unbeaten teams with a 3-0 record.
Favre was unstoppable, throwing for 369 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. A 57-yard touchdown catch by Greg Jennings not only put the Packers in the lead with 2:03 remaining, but also tied Favre with Dan Marino for the NFL record of 420 career touchdowns. As for the Chargers, arguably the best running back in the league, LaDainian Tomlinson, has no 100-yard games this season and just one TD.
The Packers will play the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at 1:00 pm EST. The Packers are favored (-1½, -105). Place your wagers on all NFL games scheduled for Week 4 now inside our members area!
