NASCAR Betting - All three series head to the "Monster Mile" this weekend
NASCAR betting players are in for a busy weekend as all three series will take to the “Monster Mile”, as known as Dover International Speedway. The Camping World Truck series is back after a week off, while the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series will be just trying to get full races in after a rainy Memorial Day weekend in Charlotte. Dover’s concrete surface is infamously tough on tires, and drivers have to know when to push their car, because with no grip and a relatively small one-mile track, big wrecks can start in a hurry.
AAA Insurance 200 – Friday, May 29, 5:00 PM ET
Scott Speed won this event last year, but Ron Hornaday has the top finishing average among active drivers at Dover after finishing third and leading 36 laps last year. Hornaday has finished in the top five in three of his four trips to the one-mile concrete track, and the points leader would be a solid pick by NASCAR betting players.
Helluva Good! 200 – Saturday, May 30, 2:00 PM ET
Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag in last year’s event after steamrolling the field, leading 131 laps. Hamlin and Greg Biffle are solid contenders if they’re in the field this weekend, and one driver we know will be in the field, Carl Edwards, will also be running at the front. Edwards won this race back in 2007.
Autism Speaks 400 odds – Sunday, May 31, 2:00 PM ET
Kyle Busch led 158 laps en route to the checkered flag in last year’s summer Cup race at Dover, but Biffle also had a great car, leading a race-high 164 laps. Roush-Fenway cars should be near the top of the NASCAR betting list for players, as Biffle, Edwards and Matt Kenseth have all fared well here in the past. Of course, Hendrick will be a major player as Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin have combined for 11 wins at the “Monster Mile”. Those looking at their online sports book will have no shortage of options on Sunday.
