Busch led a race-high 101 laps en route to last year’s win, but seemed to be an exception to the rule as he only has a 19.2 finishing average in five Nationwide Chicagoland races. Still, Busch is the favorite in your offshore sportsbook at +200 for this race, but he’ll have to fend off some other Cup drivers in order to be one of your sports picks. Carl Edwards (+500), Joey Logano (+600), Kevin Harvick (+700), Greg Biffle (+800) and Jeff Burton (+1000) pose the biggest threats to Busch, with Harvick and Burton (RCR teammates in Cup) being the most intriguing. Harvick won this race back in 2005 and 2007, while Burton has five top-fives in six Chicagoland races in a Nationwide car.

Again, Busch had the dominant car by leading 165 laps in 2008, while Jimmie Johnson, Harvick, Biffle and Tony Stewart rounded out the top five. Stewart and Johnson are the co-favorites according to the sportsbook at +600, and Stewart would love to extend his points lead over Jeff Gordon and Johnson even more after his thrilling win at Daytona, in which he turned Busch into the wall and sparked a huge wreck. Harvick’s 7.4 average in eight Chicagoland Cup races, which includes six top-tens, while he (2001, 2001) and Stewart (2004 and 2007) are the only drivers with multiple wins on this track. Gordon (+900), Matt Kenseth (+1450) and Brian Vickers (+2000) all perform well at this track, although Gordon is the only one in the trio with a win, which came in 2006. With the race for the Chase heating up, each race gets more important, which means it’s crucial to do even more research before going to your sports betting lines.
