NASCAR Odds – Short-track and superspeedway fans should get their fill
- Can anyone slow down Hornaday?
- Busch looks to repeat in Nationwide
- Stewart and Johnson have won last four Sprint Cup races at Indy
AAA Insurance 200, Friday, July 24, 8:00 PM ET
Ron Hornaday has won the last three Camping World Truck races and now holds a 96-point lead over Matt Crafton in the standings. Hornaday finished second to Johnny Benson in last year’s race after leading 153 of 200 laps, and he’s won here in 1997 and 2007. Since 2003, he’s finished in the top five in all four of his trips to O’Reilly Raceway, which is just under a mile long. Sports betting odds should make him the favorite here this week.
Kroger 200, Saturday, July 25, 8:00 PM ET
Kyle Busch has been destroying the Nationwide series lately, coming in either first or second in seven races. He’s also the defending race-winner in the Kroger 200, as he dominated to lead 197 of 200 laps in last year’s event. He should definitely be the online sportsbook betting favorite on Saturday night, but Carl Edwards, Brad Keselowski Jason Leffler and Joey Logano will be trying to cut into Busch’s 212-point lead atop the standings.
All-State 400 Odds at the Brickyard, July 26. 2:00 PM ET
Jimmie Johnson won last year’s debacle at Indy, when poor Goodyear tires were blowing apart, causing NASCAR to throw cautions every 10 laps. Johnson also won in 2006, while points leader Tony Stewart took the checkered flag at his hometown track in 2005 and 2007, and it’s no surprise that these two are the favorites heading into the Brickyard. However, you can’t count out Jeff Gordon, who leads all active drivers with four victories and an 8.6 finishing average, and he’s one of only four drivers (Mark Martin, Jeff Burton and Bobby Labonte are the others) to have driven in all 15 editions of the NASCAR race at Indianapolis. The best of the best usually win at Indy, and all would be great selections in your offshore sportsbook.
