NASCAR Betting - Road racing takes NASCAR fans to The Glen this weekend
This week’s action will get even hotter as NASCAR betting players will follow their favorite drivers at Watkins Glens International, where world-class road-course racing has been taking place for over 60 years. The Camping World Truck Series takes a break this week, with Ron Hornaday winning the last five races.
Zippo 200 – Saturday, August 8, 5:00 PM ET
Marcos Ambrose earned his first Nationwide Series win last year at The Glen, holding off Kyle Busch in the closing laps for the checkered flag. Busch, the points leader this season, should probably be the online betting favorite this week as he continued his amazing streak of top-two finishes. His runner-up finish to Brad Keselowski in Iowa last week was his ninth straight two-two result, three of which have been victories.
Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen odds – Sunday, August 9, 1:00 PM ET
Busch kept his great weekend going in the Sprint Cup race at The Glen in 2008 with his first victory on a road course, as he led 52 laps from the pole. He didn’t have it easy, as he had drivers like Tony Stewart, Ambrose and Juan Pablo Montoya trying to track him down, and all of these drivers are accomplished road-course racers. Stewart, the points leader in the Sprint Cup, leads all active drivers with four victories at The Glen along with Jeff Gordon, and his 10th-place run at Pocono last week was his ninth top-10 in a row. Montoya should be one of the favorites in your offshore sportsbook as well, as his second-place finish at Pocono was his second consecutive runner-up result.
