Cubs vs Tigers Odds - Tigers will show Cubs their teeth at Comerica
MLB betting players love a team who’s playing well, and they’ll have two of those teams facing off at Comerica Park as Detroit hosts the Chicago Cubs in a three-game midweek series. The Tigers come in with four consecutive wins, while the Cubs have also won four in a row as of Monday, but given Detroit’s prowess at home, the betting edge has to be given to the Tigers.
Cubs vs Tigers Odds – Detroit at home + Cubs on road = Tigers extend AL Central lead
- Zambrano-Jackson duel should leave batters scratching their heads
- Detroit lineup should take advantage of slumping Harden
- Lilly’s roll should prevent a sweep

Carlos Zambrano (4-2, 3.44) vs Edwin Jackson (6-4, 2.39)
Zambrano has three no-decisions in his last four starts, but he’s pitched well enough to win all four outings. He still walks too many batters, but that’s the way the 28-year-old righthander has always been. This will be the first time that Zambrano has ever faced the Tigers, but he does have a solid 3-1 mark on the road with a 2.58 ERA in six starts. Jackson lost for the first time in five starts in a 4-3 loss in St. Louis, but his lack of run support has hurt him significantly: the Tigers haven’t scored more than three runs in a Jackson outing since a 4-3 win just over a month ago. Like Zambrano, Jackson has never faced the Cubs, and situations like this, sports betting odds would probably favor the pitcher, so there won’t be a lot of runs scored. Take Jackson in your sports betting picks, as he is 3-1 in six home starts with 3.00 ERA.

Rich Harden (4-3, 5.27) vs Rick Porcello (8-4. 3.54)
Harden was destroyed in an 8-7 loss to Cleveland, as he was tagged for seven runs on seven hits in just five innings, with a pair of homers included. Strangely, Harden is much better away from home this year, posting a 2-0 mark in three road starts with a 2.84 ERA. Porcello won for the seventh time in eight decisions with a 6-3 victory in St. Louis, and he’s also proven to be a productive hitter in interleague play as he knocked in a pair of runs two starts ago against the Pirates. Harden has a 3-1 record in five starts against the Tigers with a 3.48 ERA, while this will be the first time that Porcello, a 20-year-old rookie, will face the Cubs. Go with the streaking Cubs.
MLB betting pick: Tigers
Thursday, June 25, 1:05 PM ET
Ted Lilly (7-4, 3.04) vs Armando Galarraga (3-7, 5.62)
Lilly has a great 1.31 ERA in his last five outings, sporting a 2-0 mark over that time. He’s also struck out 12 and walked none in his last two starts, but he has a 2-3 record in nine appearances (six starts) with a 3.96 ERA against the Tigers. Galarraga hasn’t won since April 26th, and he’s been taken deep in 10 straight starters, which can’t be good for the Tigers’ online betting odds. The 27-year-old righthander was probably Detroit’s best pitcher last year while Justin Verlander struggled, but the situation has been reversed, and you may want to stay away from Galarraga if you’re sport betting online.
MLB betting pick: Cubs
