Bet On MLB Baseball – Red Sox Look To Continue Surge At Camden Yards This Week
After a slow start to the season, the Boston Red Sox are one of many teams looking to get things going before the annual Kentucky derby betting race. Here is a quick look at some of the best matchups in baseball for this week.
Boston Red Sox @ Baltimore Orioles
Wednesday, 7:05 PM ET
After an absolutely terrible start to their online sports betting season, the Red Sox have recovered to close in on the .500 mark and can complete that run back to par in their series against their division rivals from Baltimore. The Orioles have trended the other way, and a big reason why has been their inability to get the job done at home. Boston had won five games in a row heading into their series at Camden Yards, and will put their hopes of continued success in the hands of Josh Beckett on Wednesday as he goes up against Jeremy Guthrie for the Orioles. The 30-year old Beckett has rebounded well this season to open the year 2-1 with a 1.93 ERA, and the Red Sox will need him to continue to provide that consistency in order to make up for the struggles of their other starters so far.
MLB Betting Pick: Boston Red Sox
Toronto Blue Jays @ Texas Rangers
Wednesday, 8:05 PM ET
The Blue Jays have struggled mightily with inconsistencies so far this season, which is a sign of a young team that hasn’t found its identity just yet. Jo Jo Reyes is one of those players that hasn’t been able to put his best stuff together so far, and he will have a tough time at Arlington Park against the defending American League champions and one of the best hitting teams in baseball. The Rangers are no longer a one-trick pony however with one of the most talented young pitching staffs in the majors, and Wednesday’s starter Matt Holland is among the best of them. The 24-year old Holland is 3-1 to start the year.
MLB Betting Pick: Texas Rangers
San Francisco Giants @ Pittsburgh Pirates
Thursday, 12:35 PM ET
The defending World Series champions have started the year slow and trail the Colorado Rockies by a significant margin already, so I will be crucial for them to get going on the road against a Pittsburgh team that hasn’t been great either. The Giants will hand the ball to ace Tim Lincecum on Thursday afternoon, and while he has pitched well early on he will need much more run support to get the job done. Expect one of those brilliant outings for Lincecum as he looks to get his sports betting team on the right track on a beautiful Thursday in Steeltown.
MLB Betting Pick: San Francisco Giants
Chicago Cubs @ Arizona Diamondbacks
Thursday, 9:40 PM ET
Two of the NL’s most mediocre teams will hook up again late Thursday night with the Diamondbacks chasing .500 at home. Neither team has looked very good at all, but the 25-year old Barry Enright holds a slight advantage in the pitching matchup with a 6.65 ERA compared to Ryan Dempster for the Cubs, whose mark is over seven. This game should go over and have a good MLB betting number since neither team has scored a lot of runs with the home team coming out on top.
MLB Betting Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks
