Blue Jays Yankees Betting – Blue Jays Without Enough Guns For Finale Against Yankees
The emergence of Jose Bautista as the league’s premier hitter has the Toronto Blue Jays within striking distance of the top of the American League East this week, and will look to wrap up their series against the division rival New York Yankees on a positive note before returning home.

MLB Betting Line: Yankees – 130
The problem for the Blue Jays has been too many players beyond Bautista failing to live up to expectations, something that fans in the Bronx can relate to as of late. From one player removing his self from the lineup to another failing to live up to expectations, the Yankees have cooled off after a hot start to the online sports betting season and will need to play with a sense of sports betting urgency before they fall any further.
MLB Betting Preview: Toronto Blue Jays
For as good as the league’s reigning home run king has been this season, Toronto has failed to win with consistency due to the ongoing struggles of players such as Aaron Hill and Edwin Encarnacion, each of whom have failed to hit a home run through the first half of the season. The Blue Jays will turn to Jo Jo Reyes once again, and will need to be better for him than they were in a 5-2 loss to the Houston Texans in which their starter didn’t allow a run in seven innings of solid work. Reyes has failed to put together consecutive solid starts this season, and that should have Toronto in tough to keep up with the Yankees unless players like Hill and Encarnacion can step up.
MLB Betting Preview: New York Yankees
New York bounced back from a six-game losing streak that included a three-game sweep against the division rival Boston Red Sox to win five of their next six and will look to continue their strong play to hold off the Blue Jays. Bartolo Colon pitched eight shutout innings of one of those wins but didn’t get rewarded the victory in a 4-1 win in 15 innings that only got there because Mariano Rivera blew the save in the ninth. Colon has been excellent this year with somewhat of a resurgence to his career that has been based more on his play than his record, although it is about time that the two look more alike. Alex Rodriguez continues to lead by example, and it seems as though it has rubbed off on his teammates as of late.
Who To Bet On?
After falling 5-3 in their first meeting of the season the Yankees bounced back to take the next two in their sports betting bonus series by a combined 10-6 score, and will look to continue their winning ways against Toronto at home. Colon has been far more consistent than Reyes has been this season, as has New York’s offense and that should be enough to give them the edge in the final game of this three-game set.
