Indians Yankees Betting – Yankees And Cleveland Face Off In The Bronx
The New York Yankees are leading their division. The Cleveland Indians are leading their division. Something simply has to give in this American League clash.
American League Series Betting Pick:
Cleveland Indians @ New York Yankees - Friday, June 10 - 7:05 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians started this season like a house of fire, roaring to a lead of almost 10 games in the loss column in the American League Central Division. In recent weeks, however, the Tribe has cooled off and come back to the pack. At press time (Wednesday morning), the Indians led the Detroit Tigers by just two games in the loss column, shedding new doubts on their status as the team to beat in their division. They’ll certainly receive a substantial test this upcoming weekend in the Bronx, as they travel to the new Yankee Stadium to take on the most famous franchise in North American professional sports. The Indians will begin this three-game weekend set with Fausto Carmona taking the hill. Carmona is a strong-armed young talent, but his 5.33 earned-run average is a lot higher than the Tribe were hoping for at the beginning of the year. Cleveland has overachieved to this point in the season, which makes Carmona’s subpar work even more remarkable. It’s hard to believe how Carmona has been poor even while his team has generally thrived. Is Carmona ready to take center stage and throw down a solid performance against the Pinstripes? He’ll be opposing a youngster: New York’s starting pitcher in this contest, Ivan Nova, holds a 4.50 earned-run average. This is not a clear pitching mismatch, given the presence of two hurlers who are both trying to hit their stride as the middle of the month of June approaches. Therefore, there’s no reason to get cute with this particular sports bet. Don’t trust Carmona to excel. Take the Yankees in a slugfest.

Cleveland Indians @ New York Yankees - Saturday, June 11 - 1:05 PM ET
The Saturday edition of this three-game series is a sports betting observer’s trap. On the face of things, the raw numbers should definitely favor the Yankees, as New York starter Bartolo Colon carries a relatively light earned-run average of just 3.39 into battle against Cleveland starting pitcher Mitch Talbot, who lugs a 4.18 earned-run average into this game. However, Colon – who carries a lot of weight on his frame and is far removed from his dominant years as a big-league hurler with the Indians (ironically) – is about to hit the summer months. Will his oft-injured body wear down? Will Talbot outlast him in a day game? It’s not an easy decision, but it’s probably safer to trust Colon now than in July, after the All-Star break. For now, stick with the Yankees because Colon is not as likely to break down on June 11 as he will be on July 26.Cleveland New York Yankees Betting Pick: New York Yankees
Cleveland Indians @ New York Yankees - Sunday, June 12 - 1:05 PM ET
A collection of MLB baseball betting experts would have a hard time choosing between the pitchers in this game. Josh Tomlin of the Indians owns a 3.71 earned-run average while New York starter Freddy Garcia has an earned-run average of 3.86. The betting odds might as well rest with Cleveland, then, if only for the simple reason that three-game sweeps are hard to come by. Take the Indians, who will avoid a winless weekend in New York.
