MLB Baseball Betting Picks – Yankees, Rays’ Series Headlines Early Week In The American League
All of the familiar faces are at the top of the American League standings through the first couple of months of the season. Here is a look at some key matchups to look forward to for early next week.
New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays
Monday, 6:40 PM ETDespite a ton of turnover the Tampa Bay Rays have managed to keep pace with the New York Yankees once again at the top of the AL East, and should have plenty of confidence heading in to their sports betting bonus series at home. David Price has become a perennial Cy Young candidate the past couple of seasons, and although on paper he should be a lock against AJ Burnett, the Yankees’ starter has surprised with some solid stuff this season. Look for Burnett to bring his best and New York’s offense to deliver in a battle of the top two teams in the division.
MLB Betting Pick: New York Yankees
Toronto Blue Jays @ Detroit Tigers
Monday, 7:05 PM ET
The Blue Jays have relied on a ton of young players this season, and rookie pitcher Kyle Drabek is no exception. The 23-year old is 2-2 with a 4.81 ERA and although he hasn’t been awful there have been some major blemishes to go with the positive signs that he has shown. Drabek hasn’t won in any of his past three starts, and will be in tough to get one here with Rick Porcello opposite him on the MLB betting mound for the Tigers.
MLB Betting Pick: Detroit Tigers
Baltimore Orioles @ Boston Red Sox
Monday, 7:10 PM ET
The Red Sox have shown flashes of the team that many thought would be at the top of the AL East at this point, but will need to put together a more consistent effort to have any chance of catching the Rays and Yankees for first place in the division. Daisuke Matsuzaka is the perfect illustration of how the team has struggled to put it all together, but they should be motivated to get things going against a Baltimore team that has really fallen off after a fast online sports betting start.
MLB Betting Pick: Boston Red Sox
Texas Rangers @ Chicago White Sox
Monday, 8:10 PM ET
The defending AL champion Rangers will attempt to climb their way back to the division lead after falling behind the Los Angeles Angels and Oakland Athletics with an awful span in which they lost seven of 10 games. Texas has been better at home than they have been on the road, but won’t have a choice if they want to get back on track with a span of eight straight away from home. Colby Lewis has been solid for the Rangers all season and should be able to do enough to get the win against a Chicago team that has also struggled the past couple of weeks.
MLB Betting Pick: Texas Rangers
