Red Sox Yankees Betting – Yankee Stadium Won’t Feel Like Home to New York as this Classic Rivalry Continues.
Sports betting enthusiasts love it when the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox get together for three games of complete chaos. Anything can happen when this classic rivalry resumes every year, and the fans are just as much a part of this battle as the players. This time the series moves to the new Yankee Stadium in the state where Belmont betting is fast approaching, and the Red Sox are some of the most hated visitors of them all.

Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees – Tuesday, June 7, 7:05 PM ET
In the opening game of the series it looks like it will be Jon Lester (7-2, 3.94 ERA) against Freddy Garcia (4-4, 3.34 ERA). Garcia is 0-1 against the Red Sox this year while Lester is 1-0 against the Yankees. The Red Sox have not had much problem getting to Garcia this season, but Boston will need the lead before closer Mariano Riviera comes on to the field if they want to have a shot at winning. Garcia is one of the New York pitchers that gives the Red Sox that chance at building a lead before the closer comes in. Lester has been efficient against the Yankees this season, striking out seven in his last outing while allowing four earned runs.

Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees – Wednesday, June 8, 7:05 PM ET
The Red Sox have had some serious injuries in their starting rotation and that makes it difficult to project starters. The Yankees should have to face Alfredo Aceves (2-1, 3.51 ERA) in this game, as it looks like Aceves will earn a full-time spot in the rotation with the news that Dice-K will need elbow surgery. Aceves has not started against the Yankees yet this season, but he has been a solid starter for the Red Sox since he was plucked out of the bullpen to help an ailing starting rotation. The Red Sox may get creative and throw knuckle-baller Tim Wakefield (2-1, 4.40 ERA) in this game, as Wakefield has been pitching well lately. But if Boston is leaving Aceves in the starting rotation, then it would be Alfredo’s turn in this game.
The Yankees will send A.J. Burnett (6-3, 3.86 ERA) to the mound, and that just means bad things for the Red Sox. The Sox have been able to get to Burnett on occasion, but A.J. Burnett always manages to find an opening in the Red Sox batting order and exploit it.
Red Sox Yankees Betting Pick: New York Yankees
Boston Red Sox @ New York Yankees – Thursday, June 9, 7:05 PM ET
Once again, picking the Red Sox starter for this game is difficult. It could be Clay Buchholz (4-3, 3.41 ERA) who is working his way back into the rotation after an injury. It could be Josh Beckett (4-2, 1.80 ERA) who is just trying to keep a good season going. More than likely, it will be Beckett. That is mostly because Beckett is 2-0 against the Yankees this season and has yet to give up an earned run to New York.
If the Yankees maintain their current rotation then Ivan Nova (4-3, 4.67 ERA) would be up against the Red Sox in this game. In his last outing against the Red Sox, Nova was pulled after four and a third innings after giving up four earned runs on seven hits. There is nothing to indicate that he will fare much better in this game.
