Reds Brewers Betting – Reds Look To Improve On Road Against Division Rivals In Milwaukee
One year after clinching the National League Central, the Cincinnati Reds find themselves among a group of four teams that are separated by four games in the battle for the division title. The Reds will visit one of those teams this weekend for a three-game set, as they look to pass the Milwaukee Brewers in pursuit of the top spot in their sports betting division.

The Reds have really struggled on the road, which is a big reason why they are looking up at teams in the NL Central this season. Cincinnati will send Mike Leake to the mound on Friday hoping that he can start them off on the right track in Milwaukee, one of the teams that they are battling with for first place in the division. Leake is 8-4 with a 4.03 ERA, but the biggest problem has been his inconsistency. The same can be said about Milwaukee starter Zach Grienke, who has seen his ERA rise to 5.66 after allowing a combined 11 runs in consecutive starts. Grienke will be in tough against one of the league’s top offenses, and as long as Leake manages his sports betting bonus location well he should be able to sneak out a win.

The second of two major pitching acquisitions beyond Grienke, Saturday’s starter Shaun Marcum has easily been the better of the two this season for Milwaukee. The former Blue Jays’ hurler has a 7-3 record and a 3.32 ERA despite battling a nagging hip injury his past couple of starts, over which his ERA has risen from giving up four earned runs in consecutive outings. Cincinnati will hope that his hip doesn’t feel any more comfortable this weekend, although that may not matter considering the way Johnny Cueto has been throwing the ball. Cueto has just five wins on the year despite an outstanding 1.77 ERA, and has allowed just one run or fewer in four of his past five starts.

After two solid pitching starts that led to consecutive wins, the Reds will take a step back in the series finale when they match up Edinson Volquez against Brewers’ starter Randy Wolf. Volquez’s ERA rose to 5.93 after he gave up six earned runs in just 5.1 innings of work in a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals in his last start, and Milwaukee will want to make sure they get to him early in order to avoid the series sweep. Wolf has not been very good of late either, but is overdue to bounce back and should be able to do just enough to get the win. Divisional play will be crucial down the stretch, and the Brewers’ staff will really be tested. Whether or not the moves they made in the offseason are enough will not be known until the final couple of weeks of the MLB betting season.
