Yankees Angels Betting – Yankees Continue Extended West Coast Swing
The New York Yankees are immersed in one of the road trips they hate the most: The long trek through Seattle, Oakland and Anaheim. They end their swing against the Angels.
American League Series Betting Pick:
New York Yankees @ Los Angeles Angels - Friday, June 3 - 10:05 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels and manager Mike Scioscia have hit the jackpot in a certain narrow sense: As the Bronx Bombers come to the Golden State, the Angels have their rotation set up perfectly. Their ace, Jered Weaver, will get a first crack at the Pinstripes this Friday. Weaver, the younger brother of major-leaguer Jeff Weaver, has been dealing this season. Jered Weaver owns a 2.10 earned-run average and has been downright filthy. New York’s starting pitcher in this contest, Ivan Nova, holds a 4.67 earned-run average. This is a clear pitching mismatch, so there’s no reason to beat around the bush. The Angels are well-positioned to get off to a good start in this series.

All informed sports bet on the Saturday edition of this three-game series is the bet that’s going to be hard to arrive at. Two elite starting pitchers are locking horns on this particular night. The Yankees and manager Jo Girardi will go with C.C. Sabathia as their starter. Sabathia’s earned-run average stands at a very tidy 2.98. However, as impressive as that mark in fact is, especially in the American League, the Angels offer a trump card: Dan Haren. The former Oakland Athletic and Arizona Diamondback has a miniscule 2.29 earned-run average. If the Yankees and Sabathia are going to do well in this game, Haren and the Angels will do better. Pick Los Angeles for a second straight night.

New York Yankees @ Los Angeles Angels - Sunday, June 5 - 3:35 PM ET
A collection of MLB baseball betting experts and sports betting observers would find it hard to think that the Angels could sweep the Yankees out of the state of California this weekend. The odds are usually stacked against series sweeps; they happen, but unless a really, really bad team is involved, it’s still had to go that route as a prognosticator. Usually, three-game series end up with one team winning twice. Therefore, if the Angels are the pick in the first two contests, it would make a lot of sense to take the Yankees in the finale. Bartolo Colon isn’t exactly lighting up the world with a 3.68 earned-run average and a lot of inconsistent starts, but Colon has been better this year than Ervin Santana, the Angels’ starter who is burdened with a 4.27 earned-run average. New York’s bats will relish the chance to swing at Santana’s offerings after facing Weaver and Haren on previous nights. The Yankees will bust loose and take Sunday’s game.
