Celtics vs Heat odds - Dwyane Wade exploding, making MVP push
NBA betting fans will get a special treat on Wednesday when they bet on Celtics vs Heat odds, as the surging Miami Heat host the Boston Celtics. But it could still spell trouble for Boston if you bet on sports, as the Heat are starting to put things together thanks to Dwyane Wade, who is suddenly in the MVP conversation.

- Injuries piling too high for Boston

Wow. That pretty much sums up Dwyane Wade’s play of late. Wade has put the Heat on his back, leading them to six wins in their past 10 games. That includes a monster performance against the Bulls on Monday, when D-Wade put up 48 points and 12 assists, not to mention stealing the ball with three seconds left and burying a three-pointer as time expired to seal a 130-127 overtime win.
The Celtics have been fairly impressive themselves lately. Boston has gone 5-3 in its past eight games—not exactly the ’96 Bulls, but nothing to scoff at considering it has played that stretch without Kevin Garnett, it’s most important player. The Celtics can’t sustain this pace forever, though; they lost 86-79 on Sunday to the Magic, and Garnett’s backup, Glen “Big Baby” Davis, sprained his ankle, killing the team’s depth up front. Guard Rajon Rondo will also likely miss Wednesday’s game with ankle sprain as well.
Boston played admirably in Garnett’s absence, but injuries appear to finally be catching up to the Celtics. Garnett, Rondo, Davis and reserves Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine will miss the Miami game. The Celtics won in Miami earlier this season, but they’re still in trouble on Celtics vs Heat odds, and they can’t afford to lose much ground in the Eastern Conference race with Cleveland.
Throw in the fact that Dwyane Wade is making a serious run at MVP honors right now—how does 35.3 points, 10.7 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game in his last 10 outings sound?—and your best bet is to take the Heat at home.
