76ers Knicks Betting – Linsanity, Knicks Looking For Life As They Get Set To Host Sixers Sunday
The New York Knicks pushed the Boston Celtics to the limit last Sunday before eventually falling to their Eastern conference rivals in overtime. That loss sparked a three-game skid for a Knicks’ team that is only barely holding down the final playoff spot in the East as the regular season continues to wind down, and it won’t get any easier this weekend when the team returns home to face the Philadelphia Sixers. The Sixers have been one of the pleasant sports bet surprises in the east this season with their top-ranked defense and transition offense helping them climb in to the top-four in the conference standings, but the one area in which they have struggled is on the road.

Despite a solid overall record the Sixers are just one-game below .500 on the road, making it that much more important for them to clinch a top-four spot and hold on to home court advantage for at least the first round. Philadelphia lost a close game in its first trip to New York this season, and will look to finish stronger this time around.
76ers Knicks Betting Preview: Philadelphia Sixers
The Sixers’ top-ranked defense held the Knicks to 85 points the first time around, which is actually below their season average for points allowed, although Carmelo Anthony did go off for a game-high 27. Philadelphia will have to do a better job containing Anthony, and will get its first test from Jeremy Lin, who didn’t play the first time these teams met. Thaddeus Young, Elton Brand, and Jrue Holiday each reached double-digits in points in the first meeting, but all three shooters were below 40-percent from the field. The Sixers are going to have to do better than that on offense regardless of how well they play at their own end, with leading scorer Andre Iguodola leading the way.
76ers Knicks Betting Preview: New York Knicks
For as strong as the Linsanity bug was the first time around when Jeremy Lin first burst out on to the season, a mix of teams getting more familiar with his style and perhaps even his own fatigue has really slowed him down over the past couple of weeks. Suddenly, the Knicks are losing games to teams they beat like the Dallas Mavericks, and the fact that the problem is the same thing the strengths were when New York got hot in the first place has to be a major concern. Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudamire, and Tyson Chandler are still there alongside Lin, but each of those individuals still has to step up.
76ers Knicks Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
The Gardens will be packed once again for this Sunday matinee, and that will be key for such a big game for the Knicks. New York won the first meeting between these teams even without Lin in the lineup, and he will need a big game to prove that he belongs as the team looks for any sort of rhythm and tempo on offense under his direction in the fourth quarter as the slim sports betting favorites. Look for Anthony to step up his game late once again, and help the Knicks win a game that they really need at this point.76ers Knicks Betting Pick: New York Knicks
