Bet NBA Picks – NBA Picks For Wednesday, April 28th
Milwaukee Bucks @ Atlanta Hawks
Bet NBA odds: Hawks -9
The Milwaukee Bucks looked dead in the water after two games in Atlanta but they have come roaring back with two impressive efforts at home. At the end of the day, the Hawks are still very much a perimeter team and if they are going to have bad nights or take nights off, as they did in Milwaukee, then they are not going to be a lock to beat anyone in the playoffs.
NBA betting fans know that that includes the Andrew Bogut-less Bucks.
A lot of sports betting cappers have been mocking this Bucks roster as wash-ups like Jerry Stackhouse, John Salmons, Carlos Delfino and Kurt Thomas are key contributors, but the reality is that Scott Skiles has his team playing very well.
Salmons has been rejuvenated, Stackhouse is a good source for points off the bench, Thomas has played good defense (at times) and Delfino is another outside shooter.
But the real story of this game will be home court advantage. The Hawks have the edge almost everywhere and as long as they are interested in this game, which they will be, it should be a very easy win for them.
The Hawks tend to need a big play or two to spark their interest and they just get more of those at home. Expect Josh Smith to get a few transition dunks early and for the Hawks to be in control most of the way. Atlanta is a Jekyll-Hyde at home and away in the playoffs, but now back at home they should roll.
Bet NBA Picks: Hawks -9
Utah Jazz @ Denver Nuggets
Bet NBA odds: Nuggets -7
Are the Denver Nuggets tapped out? One has to be wondering if that’s the case and if they plan to quit in Game 5.
Since the end of the regular season, the Nuggets have been coming apart at the seams a little bit. Kenyon Martin was livid with his teammates after an April Fool’s joke went wrong, they blew the No. 2 seed in the West, head coach George Karl is sidelined with treatments and the Nuggets struggled in the final month of the year.
Even so, it looked like they straightened things out just in time for the playoffs and even regained home court advantage. But online betting fans have a tough time figuring them out right now.
In the NBA playoffs, all it takes is one home loss to potentially cost you a series and so far, the Jazz have that edge. But considering how the Nuggets have played throughout this series, one has to wonder how much interest they have in it.
The Jazz lost center Mehmet Okur in Game 1 yet they have won the last three games – the last two by an average of double-digits.
Defense is not in this team’s vocabulary and chemistry is clearly coming into question as well. After the last game, guard J.R. Smith called the team selfish, taking aim at super star Carmelo Anthony.
Conventional wisdom – and the sportsbook – suggest that the Nuggets win Game 5 and send the series back to Utah. But there are cracks in the armor in Denver and while they are stellar at home, they play no defense and they make the Jazz feel very comfortable there.
Don’t be surprised if this series ends in five games.
