Chicago Bulls Odds - BetOnline.com's Chicago Bulls Preview
The Chicago Bulls odds have gone up a little bit since this time last year, but the bottom line is that there still aren’t a lot of online betting cappers putting their faith or money behind this team. The Bulls have a good young corps who made some noise in the postseason, but after losing Ben Gordon to free agency, this team took a step back.

Chicago Bulls odds maker breakdown: STARTING FIVE
NBA betting fans will recognize the Bulls' starting five, as it will be very similar minus Gordon. Derrick Rose enters his second season as a starter and he’ll be surrounded by John Salmons, Deng, Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah. However, this is still a very unproven starting five. Deng has been battling injuries for a couple of seasons now, Thomas and Noah are inconsistent, Salmons is a journeyman (though a solid one) and Rose is only in his second season. This team will still go through growing pains.
Chicago Bulls odds maker breakdown: BENCH
The Bulls bench is fairly deep and there are a few good parts. Kirk Hinrich is the sixth man, and he’s a good defender and a good floor general, while Brad Miller is a solid backup center who could still probably start for a few teams. The Bulls are hoping that first-round pick James Johnson can bring some consistent scoring to the power forward position, but aside from that, the Bulls don’t have a whole lot on the bench.
Chicago Bulls odds maker breakdown: OFFENSE
The Bulls offense will be inconsistent. In the frontcourt, Noah and Thomas have never become consistent, which means that the Bulls will be a perimeter team on the nights that they’re not on. On top of that, the Bulls lost their leading scoring, Gordon, which means that players like Rose, Hinrich and Deng will have to pick up the slack. Gordon was a vital piece of the puzzle and this offense will not be the same without him.
Chicago Bulls odds maker breakdown: DEFENSE
While the Bulls offense won’t be as good, their defense should be a little bit better. It’s not that Gordon was a weakness, but Salmons offers more height at the position and he should be able to do a better job on opposing guards. As evidenced in the playoffs, Salmons gave Paul Pierce a tough time. Overall, the Bulls have a good team concept on defense and one thing that their frontcourt does well is rebound and block shots.
Chicago Bulls odds maker breakdown: COACHING
Vinny Del Negro is in his second year as a coach, and while he pushed a lot of the right buttons last year, it’s clear that he was still a rookie. Look for some improvements on his end but he’s still not an elite coach in the league.
Chicago Bulls odds maker breakdown: SEASON OUTLOOK
Sportsbook odds makers don’t have a lot of faith in the Bulls and it’s easy to understand why. This is a decent group and likely a playoff team, but in the East, that doesn’t mean much. Look for this team to make the playoffs but falter in the first round.
