Indiana Pacers Odds - BetOnline.com's Indiana Pacers Preview
The Indiana Pacers odds no longer include a bunch of prison players who have been indicted, but they aren’t exactly a team that’s going to produce a whole lot more wins. Online betting fans know that head coach Jim O’Brien gets this team running but realistically, they don’t have the talent or the defensive mindset to even make the playoffs.
Indiana Pacers odds: +15000 to win NBA Championship

Indiana Pacers odds maker breakdown: STARTING FIVE
The Indiana Pacers starting five is an indictment for what talent has become in the NBA. There’s plenty to go around, but not much on the Pacers roster. T.J. Ford enters his second season as the starting point guard in Indiana and he struggled to grasp O’Brien’s pass-first offense last year. We’ll see if anything has changed. Brandon Rush is in his second season in the league and he’ll start at shooting guard. Danny Granger will start at small forward, and NBA betting fans know that Granger is the team’s best player. Up front, Roy Hibbert and Troy Murphy make up one of the weakest frontlines in the NBA.
Indiana Pacers odds maker breakdown: BENCH
Sportsbook odds makers may not even recognize some of the faces on this bench. Mike Dunleavy is out for a while with a knee injury, which leaves Earl Watson, Dahntay Jones and Jeff Foster as the key members off the bench. Good luck.
Indiana Pacers odds maker breakdown: OFFENSE
While the Pacers may not have a ton of brand names, they are a good shooting team that plays an up-tempo style of game, so they’ll score their share of points. Granger is a good, versatile weapon, and if Rush continues his growth pattern, he will be as well. Ford is the key to the offense as the Pacers don’t have as many point guards as they did last year. If he can be a good distributor, this team will average close to 100 points per game.
Indiana Pacers odds maker breakdown: DEFENSE
Defense is the main issue with the Pacers. While they score in bunches, they also give up points in bunches. Hibbert is decent defensively, but the Pacers don’t have any real authority in the lane. They also don’t have any presence on the perimeter either, so teams will score from wherever on them.
Indiana Pacers odds maker breakdown: COACHING
O’Brien is using a similar style of play as coach like Mike D’Antoni, and to be honest, we just haven’t seen it work in the past. Considering O’Brien’s teams have a track record of playing horrible defense and making zero noise in the playoffs, there isn’t much hope for this team.
Indiana Pacers odds maker breakdown: SEASON OUTLOOK
The Pacers are just an irrelevant team in the NBA. They’ll pull a few upsets here and there as opponents take them lightly, but overall, this just isn’t a team that is capable of making a dent in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
