Milwaukee Bucks Odds - Bucks not interested in being competitive
The Milwaukee Bucks odds to win anything were pitiful last year. Even so, with an injury-plagued season, the Bucks surprised sportsbook odds makers and went over their regular season win total. After an offseason of dismissing whatever talent was on the roster, the Bucks aren’t left with much hope to end their three-year playoff drought.

Milwaukee Bucks odds maker breakdown: STARTING FIVE
The Bucks starting five this year will look a little bit different than this year. The holdovers are Luke Ridnour, Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut, but head coach Scott Skiles is not a big fan of Ridnour and both Redd and Bogut are coming off injury-plagued seasons. At the other two starting spots are Carlos Delfino, who hasn’t been able to hold down a starting job in the NBA, and Kurt Thomas, who is 37 years old. This is an ugly starting lineup.
Milwaukee Bucks odds maker breakdown: BENCH
The Bucks bench has a couple of decent pieces, but nothing to save this team. First-round pick Brandon Jennings won’t be on the bench for long, as he is now the cornerstone of the future. Up front, the Bucks have Luc Mbah a Moute, who’s a solid garbage man and defensive presence, and Hakim Warrick, who has a little bit more of a scoring punch. Charlie Bell is a good scorer off the bench as well. This bench wouldn’t be bad if the Bucks had three more good starters. As it stands now, the Bucks may have to count on their bench more than they are capable of handling.
Milwaukee Bucks odds maker breakdown: OFFENSE
NBA betting fans know that the Bucks offense will be among the worst in the NBA. Redd is coming off of knee surgery and he had trouble creating his own shot before. Now he’ll have more problems on one bad wheel. The Bucks are without a penetrator, and while they are hoping Jennings can be the guy, he’s just a rookie. They don’t have a lot of team speed and that’s going to be an issue.
Milwaukee Bucks odds maker breakdown: DEFENSE
While offense is not the team’s strength, defense will be. Head Coach Scott Skiles has instilled some toughness into this squad, and with that has come a strong defensive mentality. Playing against this team at the Bradley Center can be an arduous task.
Milwaukee Bucks odds maker breakdown: COACHING
The Bucks have a good coach in Skiles, but he typically wears the paint off the walls after a couple of years. We’ll see how the Bucks respond to him in year two if the wins don’t come. If they follow his lead, this could potentially be an eighth or ninth seed in the East. If not, they could sour quickly and Skiles could be without a job.
Milwaukee Bucks odds maker breakdown: SEASON OUTLOOK
Online betting fans know that the Bucks are one of the most irrelevant teams in the NBA. Skiles is shaping this team, but until they get a reliable scoring forward, they’re going to struggle. Also, until Jennings develops into a starting caliber point guard, this team won’t be winning many games. Expect another 30 – 34 win season.
