NBA Betting Tips – A Look At The Week’s NBA Action
Sports betting players are preparing for the last week of the season before the All-Star break, and this week we’ll look at a couple of games featuring Phoenix, the return of Chris Bosh to Toronto and a meeting of the league’s best teams on Thursday.
(All numbers as of Monday, February 14th)
Jazz Suns Betting – Tuesday, 9:00 PM ET
The Jazz will be out for revenge after losing at home to Phoenix on Friday night in their first game without Jerry Sloan as their head coach, and they’ve had a few days to recharge their batteries while the Suns lost 113-108 at home to Sacramento on Sunday. The Suns are 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS in their last five at home against the Jazz, with four of those games going over the posted total and we’re willing to bet that this game will go over after the low-scoring nature of Phoenix’s 95-83 win in Utah on Friday night. The Jazz are 12-13-1 ATS on the road this season, while the Suns are 12-15 ATS at home, and we’re taking Utah to come away with the win as they clearly ran out of steam in the second half after a couple of exhausting days, and we’re betting on Deron Williams to have a huge game to carry Utah to a big sports betting win.
Betting Edge: Utah Jazz
Heat Raptors Betting – Wednesday, 7:00 PM ET
The Heat will be the road favorites in what will be Chris Bosh’s return to Toronto, and while it won’t be like LeBron James’ return to Cleveland, there will be plenty of boos (and more) for Miami’s power forward. The Heat are 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS in their last five trips to Toronto, but again, they didn’t haves James or Bosh for any of those games. The game to look at is a 113-100 win for the Heat at home on November 13th, and Miami was able to do whatever they wanted offensively. Toronto is 11-16 ATS at home, while Miami is 17-12 ATS on the road, and we’re banking on another win for the Heat, not because of Bosh, but because of James and Dwyane Wade. Those two are playing better on the road than at home, and they have embraced their roles as the villains. We’re not sure if Bosh is comfortable in that role yet, and he’ll be the villain on Wednesday, but Miami will still roll to an NBA betting victory.
Betting Edge: Miami Heat
Spurs Bulls Betting – Thursday, 8:00 PM ET
In the first game of the last TNT doubleheader, the Bulls should be the home favorites in this contest, but the Spurs are 3-2 SU and ATS in their last five games at the United Center. Heading into Monday’s game in New Jersey, the Spurs are 5-2 SU and ATS in the first seven games of the “Rodeo Trip”, and they have three games to get ready for the Bulls, who will host Charlotte on Tuesday. The Bulls are 17-9-1 ATS at home this season, but the Spurs are 18-8-1 ATS on the road and even more, they’re 5-1 ATS when they’re the underdog, which is a testament to their veteran experience. This game could either way on the SU tip, but we think the Spurs are going to cover the spread what could be the game of the week.
Betting Edge: San Antonio Spurs
Mavericks Suns Betting – Thursday, 10:30 PM ET
The Suns end the week in the TNT nightcap, but they’ll likely be home underdogs against the Mavericks even though they’re 3-2 SU and ATS in their last five games at home with Dallas, and four of those five games have gone over the posted total. Phoenix is 12-15 ATS at home (not counting the Utah game on Tuesday), while Dallas is 16-10 away from home. The Mavericks are 7-4 SU in the second half of back-to-back games, and they’ll host Sacramento on Wednesday night, so the Suns won’t get an advantage, especially as Dallas has a good bench that can produce. Phoenix will start the week with a loss, and it won’t end any better as online betting players will start the Steve Nash trade watch.
Betting Edge: Dallas Mavericks
