ACC Tournament Odds – Blue Devils roll to another ACC tourney win
Duke has been near the top of online betting favorites all season, showing a toughness that many didn’t think they had, especially on defense. The Blue Devils will be the favorites heading into this week’s ACC Tournament, and a win should give them a No.1 seed. However, the bigger prize may be revenge for a late-season loss against the team they shared the regular-season title with.

ACC Tournament Favorites
This figures to be a two-horse race between Duke and Maryland, who are listed at-200 and +280, respectively. These two split a pair of meetings this year with the home team winning each time, but the Terrapins’ 79-72 home win over the Blue Devils in the final week of the season was the best ACC game all season and may have given Maryland some hope. It should also be a showdown between Maryland’s Greivis Vazquez and Duke’s Jon Scheyer, the favorites for ACC Player of the Year.
ACC Tournament Darkhorse
Florida State is listed at +680 after winning five of their last six games, and the Seminoles have the size to deal with anyone in the country with Solomon Alabi and Chris Singleton. The Seminoles lead the country in field-goal defense, which makes for a shaky offense, particularly on the perimeter. The Seminoles also turn the ball over a lot, which gives them fewer opportunities to get the ball to Alabi and Singleton. If they can curb their turnover problem, the Seminoles could make some real noise.
ACC Tournament Bust
You could say North Carolina, but no one expects them to have a good tournament after the dreadful season they had. Wake Forest comes in at +1200 in your sportsbook, and they finished with a 9-7 record in the ACC. A win over Clemson in their finale halted a four-game losing skid, and they haven’t been getting the ball to Al-Farouq Aminu, who is being touted as a lottery pick in next year’s draft. There’s a lot of problems with Wake Forest, like turnovers, fouls and free throws, and unless Aminu can carry the load, the Demon Deacons will be out in the first round
ACC Tournament Pick
Duke has to get the edge in this tournament, which they’ve won eight times since 1999, and they have Scheyer who was the MVP of last year’s ACC tournament. The tournament is in Greensboro, which is a closer proximity to Duke than Maryland, and the Blue Devils will be eager to avenge their loss in College Park on March 3rd. The Blue Devils aren’t that deep, but they have more options than Maryland does if Vazquez has a bad game. If Scheyer struggles, the Blue Devils still have Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler. Take Duke to the bank this week.
