Internet NBA Betting – Contenders Enter Weekend On Heels Of Busy Trade Deadline
Some of the top teams in both conferences made big-time deals before the NBA trade deadline was complete, and will now look to capitalize on their additions when they get back in to the action this online sports betting weekend. Here is a look at a few of those games.
Chicago Bulls @ Milwaukee Bucks
Saturday, 8:30 PM ET
For all of the talk this week about the Miami Heat finally taking over the top spot in the Eastern conference and how far that team has come, more should probably be made about the surging Bulls. Derrick Rose scored 26 points, and Luol Deng added 20 as Chicago cooled off the Heat 93-89 on Thursday night, moving to within just two games of Miami and the Boston Celtics for first place in the Eastern conference. The Bulls have won seven of their last 10, and will look to continue that run against a Milwaukee team that has really struggled over the last month.
NBA Betting Pick: Chicago Bulls
Boston Celtics @ Los Angeles Clippers
Saturday, 10:30 PM ET
The Celtics will begin life without center Kendrick Perkins out west where they visit Blake Griffin and the Clippers in the late game Saturday, two days after trading their longtime center for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic of the Oklahoma City Thunder. After acquiring both Jermaine and Shaquille O’Neal at the beginning of the year, and with the emergence of Glen Davis through the first couple of months with Perkins recovering from surgery, Boston felt it was better to add some pace to its game, and the fact that they got a 2012 first round pick and cash as well had to have sealed the deal. Now, the Celtics will see how Green and Krstic fit with the team, and try to catch the Miami Heat for the top sports betting bonus spot in the Eastern conference.
NBA Betting Pick: Boston Celtics
Los Angeles Lakers @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Sunday, 2:30 PM ET
While they will be without Green and Krstic, the Thunder will likely debut Kendrick Perkins against Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum of the visiting Lakers on Sunday afternoon. Oklahoma City will also have Nazr Mohammed in the lineup after sending Morris Peterson and DJ White to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for the second big man that they acquired on Thursday. Kevin Durant and company have already proven before that they can run with the Lakers, but now they will have to stop an even more determined team that entered the All Star break under harsh criticism after dropping three in a row, but has bounced back with consecutive wins since.
NBA Betting Pick: Los Angeles Lakers
New York Knicks @ Miami Heat
Sunday, 8:00 PM ET
The Heat will try to bounce back from a loss to the Bulls when they host another one of the emerging teams in the conference, as Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks make the trip down to sunny south beach. New York has won four in a row and looked good in two games since acquiring the former college basketball betting Syracuse star, but this will be their first true test since making the move. Meanwhile, Miami is locked in a battle with the Celtics for top spot in the East, and consecutive losses would really hurt.
NBA Betting Pick: Miami Heat
