Notre Dame Pittsburgh Betting – Panthers Look To Take Control Of Big East Monday
A big win over the No. 3 Syracuse Orange has elevated the No. 4 Pittsburgh Panthers in to sole possession of the top spot in the Big East, a game ahead of their conference rivals. Now, the top rebounding and passing team in the country will look to get a tighter grip on first place when they take on the No. 16 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at home on Monday.

The Panthers rank second in the nation in rebounding, and first in assists per game, so there is little reason to think this team can’t compete with the best in the country when the national title tournament comes this March. For now however, Pittsburgh’s goals remain within the conference, as they take on a Fighting Irish team that had lost two of its last three games before Saturday’s tilt against Marquette.
Notre Dame Pittsburgh Betting Preview: Notre Dame
Despite a solid start to their sports betting bonus season, the Fighting Irish have struggled in conference play, winning just four of seven games to sit eighth in the Big East standings. While they have been great at home, Notre Dame has struggled on the road, and doesn’t have a win in three tries. In those three losses, which came at Syracuse, Marquette, and St. John’s, the average margin of defeat for the Fighting Irish has been well in the double-digits. Ben Hansbrough leads the team with 15.8 points per game, but will need more support if Notre Dame is going to even keep this one close.
Notre Dame Pittsburgh Betting Preview: Pittsburgh
The Panthers have dominated since a surprising loss to Tennessee at home in mid-December, winning eight straight games including three over ranked opponents. The fact that Pittsburgh has already defeated both Connecticut and Syracuse speaks volumes to the team’s potential within the conference, and their remains potential for the Panthers to be even better. Pittsburgh ranks first and second in average rebounds and assists respectively, and although Ashton Gibbs leads the team in scoring, the Panthers have gotten points throughout their lineup. Pittsburgh is beginning to understand its teams strengths, and using them to its advantage, and after convincing wins over a couple of teams ranked in the top-five at the time, there is no reason to think their run will end any time soon.
Notre Dame Pittsburgh Betting: Outlook & Pick
The Panthers have flat out dominated since the betting loss to Tennessee, and there is no reason to think that their run will be threatened at least until traveling to No. 7 Villanova in February. Notre Dame has struggled in conference play against unranked opponents, and will have a hard time even keeping it close against the best team in the Big East.
