Washington Huskies Odds - With no Brockman, thin front court will hamper Huskies

They surprised a number of people when they won the regular season Pac 10 crown, but they may have a tough time repeating. The Huskies are extremely talented in the back court but they will have trouble replacing Jon Brockman.

Washington Huskies odds maker breakdown: THE COACHING
Online betting cappers know that Lorenzo Romar has done a good job at Washington, particularly last year when he took the team from a losing record to winning the Pac 10 in the regular season (first time that’s ever happened). And while Washington has been very steady under Romar, they haven’t made a huge splash. It’s been four years since the Huskies have been to the Sweet 16 and this roster is good enough to get there. There will be some major disappointment in Seattle if they don’t.
Washington Huskies odds maker breakdown: THE STARS
The unquestioned star and leader of the roster is speedy guard Isaiah Thomas, who’s one of the best guards in the nation. He’ll be joined in the backcourt by freshman superstar in the making Abdul Gaddy. Between the two, the Huskies could have the best back court around. Meanwhile, senior forward Quincy Pondexter is solid, and the team will rely on him for points and leadership. One of the newcomers will have to replace the production – particularly the rebounding – that Brockman provided last year.
Washington Huskies odds maker breakdown: THE SCHEDULE
NCAA basketball betting fans won’t get to really see what Washington is made of until the Pac 10 play starts. The Huskies non-conference schedule includes a few decent foes, but nothing daunting. Georgetown, Texas Tech and Texas A&M are on the radar.
Washington Huskies odds maker breakdown: THE OUTLOOK
Given their talented back court and considering how well the Huskies play at home, they should be able to outrun most of the teams in the Pac 10. But the front court is still a concern, which is why they’re such a long shot to win the National Championship in the sportsbook. Look for the Huskies to have another productive season, but they won’t get much further than the Sweet 16 – if they get there.
