Trailblazers vs Spurs odds – Spurs in tough without Manu
Trailblazers vs Spurs odds are potentially a preview of the first round of the basketball playoffs. NBA betting players have seen some chinks in the San Antonio armor this year but they should still be the favorites on Wednesday night.
It won’t’ be easy though, as one of San Antonio’s star players has been shut down for the year with an ankle injury.
Trailblazers vs Spurs odds: San Antonio must move on without Ginobili
- WHO: Portland Trailblazers at San Antonio Spurs
- WHAT: NBA betting
- WHEN: Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 PM ET
- WHERE: AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX
- KEY STATS: San Antonio has won eight of their last 10 against Portland
- PICK: Portland
The Spurs finally shut down Manu Ginobili for the season, as his ankle injury has gotten worse. Ginobili has played in only 44 games this season and, even when he played, he was never really the same guy that has played such a big role in San Antonio’s NBA championships. To make matters worse, Tim Duncan’s knees are aching and the Spurs had dropped five of their last 10 heading into Tuesday’s trip to Oklahoma City.
Ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Memphis, the Trailblazers had won seven of their last 10 games, and two of those losses came in overtime. Portland will wrap up a four-game road trip in the Lone Star State, which it began with a win in Oklahoma City before losing in Houston on Sunday.
LaMarcus Aldridge has been a monster, putting up 26.0 points and 10.2 boards in his last five outings, but he sprained his wrist in the Houston loss and could sit this game out as the Trailblazers are preparing for the postseason.
Trailblazers vs Spurs sports betting lines should favor the home team in this contest, as the Spurs have won eight of their last 10 against Portland—which is not a very good road team. The Trailblazers have beaten the Spurs in two of three meetings this year, but both of those wins came at home, and they lost by 15 when they went to San Antonio in February.
However, Duncan has been sitting out the second half of back-to-back games lately to rest his knees, which piles the pressure on Tony Parker. Look for Aldridge and Brandon Roy to have big games, and bet on Portland for an NBA odds upset.
