Mayweather Mosley Picks – Mosley Days Late, Bucks Short
The boxing blockbuster event of the year is upon us and while it has all the mixings of a headline event, online betting cappers are very likely to see what we all expect: another Floyd Mayweather boxing spectacle. While it’s true that “Sugar” Shane Mosley will be his biggest competitor to date, but Mayweather is up to the task.
The Storyline To Know Before You’re Mayweather Mosley Betting
Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been trying to set up a fight for a few years now. As a matter of fact, Mosley would have you believe that the Pretty Boy has been ducking him for some time now.
Boxing betting fans have wanted to see this fight for a while but the real question is how good is Shane Mosley at the age of 38? Mosley probably could have given Floyd everything he could handle a few years ago but now, at age 38 with a new trainer in tow, it seems less and less likely.
For Mayweather Jr., this isn’t the superbout with Manny Pacquiao, but it is still a very stiff test. Mosley is a true Welterweight, unlike Juan Manuel Marquez, and this is going to be a challenge for him. At the same time, Mayweather is still the best in the sport in making a challenge look easy, so don’t be surprised if he easily takes care of Mosley here as well.
How Mosley Can Win This Fight:
For starters, Mosley is going to really test how Mayweather’s retirement affected him. Mayweather came out of retirement and fought Manuel Marquez, which was not an easy opponent but it was a lightweight. Mosley is a real Welterweight – and the Welterweight Champion – so Mayweather will have to be cautious of his power.
Mosley has knockout potential and this fight could end with one punch. Unfortunately for Mayweather, it doesn’t go the other way around as Mayweather likely can’t drop Mosley but Mosley can drop Mayweather.
Mosley is past his prime, which is the chiefly concern here, but he still has similar hand speed and quickness to Mayweather, which is what makes this fight really intriguing.
How Mayweather Can Win This Fight:
Be his typical self. ‘Money’ Mayweather has his uncanny hand speed, quickness and defense. He’s going to be a moving target and as per usual, a target that will be really hard to hit.
Sure, Mosley has speed and he has power, but he is not what he used to be. Mosley was suspended for steroids, knocked out the pathetic Ricardo Mayorga, took care of Antonio Margarito, who is a so-so fighter, and now finds himself in the prime time against Mayweather Jr.
This is a tall order for Mosley and we’ll know very early what’s up. If Mosley can’t keep up with him, which is very likely the case, sports betting cappers will see a very similar fight and result to Mayweather-Oscar De La Hoya.
Who Will Win?
The sportsbook odds makers have Mayweather as a big favorite and it’s hard to see him losing. At first, there was the notion that Mayweather would have his eyes on Pacquiao instead of Mosley or that Mayweather wasn’t taking him seriously, but when you look at the fact that Mayweather has shutdown all media requests and has narrowed his focus, it’s clear that Mayweather is not taking this bout lightly.
This bout would have been a classic a few years ago but for now, we’ll see a good three or four rounds, but Mayweather will run away with it. Like Oscar, Mosley waiting too long for this fight.
Mayweather’s speed is remarkable and Mosley won’t be the one to catch up to him.
