Online sports betting handicappers are in for a treat on Sunday as the Ravens vs Steelers matchup is sure to be yet another physical contest. The two AFC North division rivals have squared off twice this season and both games proved to be classic contests, meaning high expectations for AFC Championship betting.

The first meeting was a 23-20 overtime victory for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the second was a controversial 13-9 contest where a late Steelers touchdown was heavily scrutinized.

Pittsburgh gets a six-point edge in Ravens vs Steelers betting and, at first glance, it’s hard not to like the prospect of taking the points. Both games have been decided by four points or less, which makes it a very dicey proposition to lay nearly a touchdown with the Steelers.

The Steelers have the top defense in the NFL and the Ravens are right behind them. The Steelers also lead the NFL in scoring defense while the Ravens rank third.

Those who bet online know the difference in this contest will be the quarterbacking of both Ben Roethlisberger and Joe Flacco. Flacco, being a rookie, is the player who will be more scrutinized, especially those with an eye on the Ravens vs Steelers spread.

In two games against Pittsburgh, Flacco was just 27-of-59 for 307 yards with one touchdown pass and two interceptions. He’s completed just 44 per cent of his passes in the playoffs but has avoided turnovers. He’s not helping the Ravens vs Steelers line in Baltimore’s favor.

But online betting sharps know that turnovers will be the key statistic this Sunday. The team that makes the fewest will succeed.

This will be a physical contest but look for the Steelers who have the more experienced coach and quarterback, and home-field advantage to prevail in a close contest.
