Broncos vs Chargers betting will be one of the most exciting events of the Week 17 NFL betting season as both teams square off for the AFC West division title and a berth in the playoffs.

The San Diego Chargers are back from the dead after winning only four games in their first 12 weeks of the season. Just a few weeks ago, the Chargers were 4-8 and their fans were hoping for them to lose out so they could get a higher draft pick.

Even in Week 15, the Chargers trailed 21-3 in the third quarter to the Kansas City Chiefs and everything looked lost, but those who bet online watched the Chargers manage an improbable comeback.

Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos have been in the driver’s seat of the AFC West for quite some time. The Broncos had ample opportunities to clinch the division, with a win in Carolina in Week 15 or a win at home against the reeling Buffalo Bills in Week 16, but lost both contests.

Online betting sharps were not expecting the Broncos to lose at home to the struggling Buffalo Bills this past weekend and, on the heels of that loss, the Chargers take all the momentum heading into a key Week 17 rematch.

You can bet that the Chargers will have their Week 2 Broncos vs Chargers matchup on their minds when the two teams take the field again on Sunday. In the previous contest, referee Ed Hochuli called a blatant fumble an incomplete pass, which eventually led to a Broncos win when the Chargers clearly felt they should have won.

Those who bet online know the revenge angle is a good one, but the Chargers have to focus on being the better team on Sunday rather than just relying on a stinging loss to motivate them.

Sportsbook odds have the Chargers listed as a big favorite this weekend but the Broncos should hang around. The Broncos have struggled to run the ball in recent weeks but their spread passing game has been fluid. Online betting handicappers know the Chargers 31st-ranked pass defense could have some problems this week.

Even so, it’s hard to bet online against revenge and momentum.

STAN’S PICK: Bet on the Chargers, who have been playing well in December while the Broncos have been at the opposite end of the spectrum.
