Tulane is 19-105 against ranked opponents but has an excellent opportunity to slow down the East Carolina Pirates this coming week. The Green Wave’s special teams were the guilty culprit in a 20-6 loss at Alabama but the defense stepped up.
After playing an SEC opponent on the road, facing East Carolina in front of a raucous home crowd should be a big advantage.
The Pirates are off back-to-back upsets against Virginia Tech and West Virginia and, for college football halftime betting purposes, they might come out a little sleepy. They’ll underestimate Tulane a little bit – it’s hard to get jacked up to face the Green Wave after big wins against the ACC’s and the Big East’s bests.

Oregon Ducks @ Purdue Boilermakers – 3:30 PM ET at Ross-Ade Stadium
Purdue’s schedule has been a little lighter than Oregon’s load this season. The Boilermakers pounded FCS school Northern Colorado while the Ducks smacked around Washington and Utah State.
But the Ducks have some issues at quarterback, which could be a problem this Saturday. Starting quarterback Justin Roper returned in Week 2 after a concussion in his opener while top running back Jeremiah Johnson’s shoulder popped out after one carry last week so his status is uncertain.
The Boilermakers are by no means a Big 10 powerhouse but they are generally a good home team. Regarding college football halftime betting, the Ducks should win but they might have some problems early in the game.
