Michigan State vs. Florida Atlantic leads NCAA football teasers

- Michigan State should romp Florida Atlantic
- Ball State will take care of Akron
- South Carolina will offer a stiff test to Georgia
Florida Atlanta Owls @ Michigan State Spartans (-16) – Saturday, 12:00 PM ET at Spartan Stadium
The Florida Atlantic Owls talked trash to the Texas Longhorns, then went to their stadium and got throttled in the season opener. Then they went to UAB and won, but the Blazers still racked up a ton of yardage against them.
The Owls have played good competition, which is a positive, but college football bettors know that the Owls just don’t fare well against top-notch competition. They should easily walk-through the Sun Belt Conference but, after talking trash to Michigan State, expect them to take another beating. The Owls will pull off an upset – or at least come close – at some point soon so tease it down just to make sure.

Ball State Cardinals (-6.5) @ Akron Zips – Saturday, 1:00 PM ET at the Rubber Bowl
The Ball State Cardinals have been rolling and that should continue this week as they face the Zips. Quarterback Nate Davis has been outstanding and his connection with wide receiver Dante Love is turning out to be a special one. The Zips won’t be able to stop the Cardinals but at home, but they may be able to slow them down.
The Zips have will be confident after a win against Syracuse and, in a conference home opener, they might make the effort to keep things tighter than most would like.

Georgia Bulldogs (-7) @ South Carolina Gamecocks – Saturday, 3:30 PM ET at Williams-Brice Stadium
Everyone has talked about the Georgia Bulldogs schedule being a tough one and it starts this week with a daunting challenge at South Carolina. The Gamecocks were up close and personal with North Carolina State in their home opener before the Wolfpack handed them the win, then they lost on the road at Vanderbilt.
Even so, look for the Gamecocks to come up with a much better effort. Quarterback is a big problem and Georgia has a big advantage in the backfield, but the Gamecocks have the better defense. They’ve struggled with mobile quarterbacks but Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford is a pocket-passer. Look for the Gamecocks to keep this one close until the very end.
