Bet North Carolina State Wolfpack – Too Many Issues For Wolfpack To Howl In 2010

2009 North Carolina State Wolfpack Betting Recap
The Wolfpack got online betting players off to a horrendous start with a tepid 7-3 loss at home to South Carolina, then they recovered to beat up on Murray State and Gardner-Webb, followed by a win over Pittsburgh. Then they hit a four-game winless skid with losses at Wake Forest, Boston College and Florida State, and the Wolfback was also hammered at home by Duke. North Carolina State ended the season with three straight games against ranked opponents, and they were thumped by Clemson and Virginia Tech, but a one-point win over rival North Carolina to end the season was the highlight of 2010 for the Wolfpack.
North Carolina State had a decent year on both sides of the ball, but while the defense was 55th in the country, they were 99th in points allowed and they struggled to create turnovers, giving up an average of 44 points during their fatal four-game losing streak in the middle of the season. There were too many big plays given up on defense for the Wolfpack to have a fighting shot at the top half of the ACC. However, on offense, Russell Wilson flourished under center and was 15th in the country in quarterback rating.
2010 Preview To Bet North Carolina State Wolfpack
NCAA football betting players were thrown for a loop when they heard that Wilson missed spring practice to play baseball. He should still be the starter, but Mike Glennon showed during the spring that he could step in if something were to happen to Wilson. The quarterbacks are going to have to be on point because the Wolfpack don’t have a running back. Toney Baker and Jamelle Eugene graduated, and next in the Wolfpack’s running list is Wilson. Brandon Barnes has an ankle injury, and Curtis Underwood nor James Washington has any experience. While seven starters return on offense, there are only five on defense, and the secondary could be in trouble as it’s overrun with inexperience. Linebacker Nate Irving is back after missing all of last year through injury, but he’s not going to change North Carolina State’s defense all by himself. Also, the entire defensive line has to be replaced.
After Western Carolina opens up the season at home, the Wolfpack will head out for a tricky test at Central Florida, and then they play Cincinnati and at Georgia Tech in a span of nine days, while Virginia Tech will be waiting a week later. The Wolfpack may need to win their home game with Florida State on October 28th, because three of their last four are on the road at Clemson, North Carolina and Maryland.
Tom O’Brien has a lot on his plate for this upcoming season, as there were various injuries, not having Wilson on the field, while four North Carolina State players are up on misdemeanor drug charges, and a prized recruit got himself in trouble with the law as well. O’Brien has enough to worry about on the field that he shouldn’t have to deal with the off-field issues, but that’s part of being a Division I coach nowadays. All eyes will be on Wilson, but is he focused on the team or a possible baseball career? Who will step up in the backfield to take some of the pressure off Wilson or Glennon? There are too many people to replace on the defensive line, and the secondary is still too young. Sports betting players will find that North Carolina State will struggle to get to last year’s win total of five in 2010.
