The No.14 Yellow Jackets head out on the road for the first time this season, and they’re coming off a tough win over Clemson in which they let a 24-7 halftime lead evaporate before holding on for a 30-27 victory. The No.20 Hurricanes joined the rankings with a 38-34 upset at Florida State, and it’s their second in a four-game stretch against ranked teams. Miami also won their last three home games of 2008 and are looking to keep it up.

Georgia Tech’s triple-option is geared towards the run, and they’re fourth in the nation on the ground, led by Jonathon Dwyer and Josh Nesbitt, who has been horrible when throwing the ball. Still, with nine returning starters, the Yellow Jackets have more than enough experience on offense. Throwing wasn’t a problem for Jacory Harris, who passed for a career-high 386 yards against the Seminoles, the most ever for a Miami quarterback during that bitter rivalry. The Hurricanes ran for 90 yards, but they’ll need to step that up as Harris has never been known for his consistency.

However, they also give up a lot, and I’m still not sure they can handle the triple-option. In a high-scoring affair that should go over the total, take the more-experienced Yellow Jackets.
