As great as that accomplishment was, however, it was only the prelude to the truly big game, the first Rose Bowl of the Tressel era. If Ohio State couldn’t beat Oregon in Pasadena, the glory of the Big Ten title would have been diminished.

Instead, OSU rose up and physically demolished Oregon, 26-17, in a complete performance that made the college football world sit up and take notice.

2010 Preview To Bet Ohio State Buckeyes

Maybe Iowa will lose twice in other games; in all likelihood, the confrontation with the Hawkeyes will decide the Big Ten. The comfort zone for OSU comes in the fact that, as sports betting analysts know, an 11-1 OSU team would still get a BCS bowl bid even if it were to lose the Big Ten to Iowa.
