Bears Packers Betting – Packers Look To Grab Playoff Spot
This game is a sports betting enthusiasts nightmare. Both of these teams need this game, both of these teams are capable of winning this game and both teams are ready to play this game. The one thing going in favor of the Green Bay Packers is that the game is being played at Lambeau Field. The Chicago Bears never seem to have much luck playing against the Packers at Lambeau, which seems to be the problem for a lot of teams that play Green Bay.
- What: NFL betting
- When: Sunday, January 2nd, 4:15 PM ET
- Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
- Pick: Green Bay Packers (no line)
What’s On The Line
The Packers (9-6) win and their in the playoffs. It is a pretty simple concept, but it does not make coaching or playing the game any easier for Green Bay. The Chicago Bears (11-4) are still chasing the Atlanta Falcons for best record in the NFC, and the Bears hold a couple of tie-breakers over the Falcons. But the Bears are also fighting the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC second seed and a first round playoff bye. So there is a lot on the line here for the Bears.
Offensive Matchups: Bears Packers Betting
The online football betting enthusiasts are having a hard time keeping up with the number of concussions Aaron Rodgers has had this season. But every time he has a concussion, he comes back just as sharp as he ever was. Rodgers is the Green Bay offense. When the Packers need to run the ball Rodgers runs it, and when they need a key pass Rodgers throws it. Every team knows that Rodgers is the offense, but when the chips are down the guy is hard to stop.
The Chicago Bears are starting to look like a Mike Martz offensive team. Jay Cutler is getting much better at throwing the long ball and the offensive line is opening up holes for Matt Forte and the running game. Every defense knows that Devin Hester will get the ball thrown his way, but no one can catch the guy to stop him.

Defensive Matchups: Bears Packers Betting
The Bears defense is ferocious up front. Between Julius Peppers prowling the line of scrimmage and linebacker Brian Urlacher backing him up in the middle of the defense, teams are having problems running the ball. The Bears are also having success getting to opposing quarterbacks. But the Bears secondary is having issues preventing big plays in the secondary and that will be a problem against an elusive but accurate passer like Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers have been extremely inconsistent this season on defense, but when they are on they are really on. The Packers’ pass rush can be relentless, and it has the speed to hunt down just about any quarterback. The Packers linebackers control the center of the field and their secondary is fast with some hard-hitting players. If the Packers are on their defensive game against Jay Cutler and the Bears then it could be a long day for the Bears.

Notable Injuries: Bears Packers Betting
The Bears are only reporting two injuries that could affect player availability. Wide receiver Earl Bennett (ankle) and linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa (knee) are both probable but expected to play.
For the Packers, guard Marshall Newhouse (back) and defensive end Cullen Jenkins (calf) are out for this game. Linebacker Frank Zombo (knee) is doubtful and linebacker Diyral Briggs (ankle) is questionable.

Outlook and Pick: Bears Packers Betting
People still base their opinions of the Packers in critical games on the images of Brett Favre throwing key interceptions to end the Green Bay season. Aaron Rodgers is not Brett Favre, and Rodgers gives the Packers a very good chance of winning this game. This will be a great game, but the Packers will bring out some of that Lambeau magic to pull this one out.
Stan’s Pick: Green Bay Packers
