Bills Lions Betting – Lions Come Away With Victory In Final Preseason Game
Online betting players can already see the improvement in Detroit through the preseason, and while they won’t challenge the big boys of the NFC North, they’ll at least be competitive. The young Lions will conclude their preseason slate at home against Buffalo, and look for them to make a statetment.

What’s On The Line
The Bills were quite impressive in a 35-20 win over Cincinnati at home, while the Lions came away with a 35-27 win over Cleveland at home. There isn’t a whole lot at stake in this game as the two teams will be resting their starters for the most part, so this is a chance to test their depth.
Offensive Matchups: Bills Lions Betting
Trent Edwards was 13-of-17 for 153 yards and a touchdown in a solid first-half performance, while C.J. Spiller added 52 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 12 carries for the Bills, who may have to use their rookie in this game. Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch are still hurt, but it could also open up time for guys like Andre Anderson and Chad Simpson, who are both battling to fit in at Buffalo’s deepest position.
Matt Stafford was 13-of-17 for 141 yards and a touchdown for the Lions, who racked up 154 yards on the ground. Rookie running back Jahvid Best showed why the Lions are so high on his big-ability with a 51-yard jaunt. We’ve been saying for weeks that the Lions have some good young talent, especially on this side of the ball, and it’s true, but they still may have some growing pains to go through.

Defensive Matchups: Bills Lions Betting
The Bills forced a pair of turnovers against the Bengals, but they also gave up 395 yards and gave Cincinnati three first downs on penalties. Safety George Wilson had nine tackles to lead the way, and he’ll get a lot of work with Jairus Byrd on the trainer’s table. The Buffalo defense will have to step up huge, especially in the early part of the season, because the offense will probably struggle.
The Lions recovered three fumbles, but like the Bills, they gave up a lot of yards, 414 to be exact, against a Cleveland offense that isn’t going to scare anyone. Prized rookie Ndamukong Suh had a couple of tackles, but more importantly, he’s drawing double teams, which will free up the Detroit linebackers to make plays. Julian Peterson had nine tackles as a result, and that’s what the Lions want Suh to do.

Notable Injuries: Bills Lions Betting
Byrd (groin) and rookie receiver Marcus Easley (knee) are the big losses for the Bills.
Kicker Jason Hanson (knee) is expected to finally play after having surgery on his plant leg.

Outlook and Pick: Bills Lions Betting
The Lions should be the NFL betting favorites in this contest at home, but there are no lines out as it’s tough to get a read on who will play. Don’t expect the starters to play more than a series or two as players look to wrap up a roster spot. We’re putting our money on the Lions because of all the young talent they’ve amassed in recent years, and we don’t expect the second-string Buffalo offense to take advantage of the Lions as they should. Take the Lions in your sports betting book on Thursday.
Stan’s Pick: Detroit Lions
