Browns vs Broncos Odds - Denver's edge in playmakers will be enough to outpace Cleveland
Browns vs Broncos odds feature two teams that struggled to score last weekend. Luckily for the
Broncos, they still found a way to win while Cleveland suffered a loss to Minnesota. NFL betting fans can expect another modest score, but Denver certainly has more playmakers on offense—enough to turn the tide of this game and improve to 2-0.

Browns vs Broncos odds maker breakdown: The Storyline
The Browns were crushed in their home opener against the Vikings. Question marks at quarterback remain firmly in place, as Brady Quinn did little to boost his coaches' (or sportsbook bettors') confidence. Denver escaped with a miracle win against the Bengals; the victory should take some heat off of head coach Josh McDaniels, but he'll lose all the goodwill he earned with a loss to Cleveland.
Browns vs Broncos odds maker breakdown: Offense
Both teams struggled to score in Week 1. Before his fluky, last-second touchdown pass to Brandon Stokley, Denver quarterback Kyle Orton was just 16-27 for 187 yards. That's not going to get the job done, especially when the running game managed only 75 yards. Eddie Royal was limited to two receptions but he'll bounce back, and Brandon Marshall will continue shaking off the rust. In Cleveland, the Browns offense managed just 13 points, with seven of them coming in garbage time. Overall, the team was held to less than 300 total yards. Quinn displayed an inability to get the ball deep downfield, making Braylon Edwards useless. Denver at least has upside. Betting Edge: Broncos
Browns vs Broncos odds maker breakdown: Defense
Denver's defense performed admirably against Cincinnati, allowing just seven points and 307 yards. The "D" forced two turnovers and three sacks; it doesn't exactly remind fans betting online of the Orange Crush days, but it's sufficient. Cleveland was a disaster against the run, allowing Adrian Peterson to romp for 180 yards and three scores. The Browns did manage four sacks, though, which is impressive against a veteran like Minnesota's Brett Favre. Betting Edge: Even
Browns vs Broncos odds maker breakdown: Special Teams
Both teams boast solid kicking games but the Browns employ a special weapon in Joshua Cribbs. The dynamic receiver scored on a 67-yard punt return last weekend and has seven career return touchdowns. He's dangerous. Betting Edge: Browns
Browns vs Broncos odds maker breakdown: Notable Injuries
Cleveland and Denver each have a few bodies nursing injuries but nothing serious to worry about. If running back Knowshon Moreno's knee is feeling better, perhaps he can give Denver a little more explosiveness (eight carries for 19 yards against Cincy). Betting Edge: Even
Browns vs Broncos odds maker breakdown: Outlook and Pick
Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn are average quarterbacks at best, but at least the former has some legitimate weapons around him. Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal and Knowshon Moreno are all serious talents, and each should bring more to the table in Week 2. Quinn, meanwhile, has little to hand off or throw to save for Braylon Edwards—and he's simply not strong enough to use the big receiver effectively. Denver's edge with the football will make the difference in this game; don't expect a lot of points, but take the Broncos by a touchdown. D.J.'S PICK: Denver -3.5; under the total of 37.5
