Tyler Thigpen threw 18 touchdown passes as a starter last season, so it was no surprise to see him toss a score in the Chiefs’ preseason opener.

The Vikes should rest all-world back Adrian Peterson for most of the game, but quarterbacks Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson are still battling for the starting job, so they’ll work extra hard. Also, it looks like wideout Percy Harvin will make his much-anticipated season debut on Friday, so the Vikings have the advantage.
