Eagles vs Giants betting odds maker breakdown: The Storyline
For starters, it’s an NFC rivalry, so it doesn’t really need to get any bigger...but it does. The Eagles (8-4) are tied with Dallas at the top of the division after their 34-7 romp in Michael Vick’s return to Atlanta. The Giants (7-5) are just one game back after their 31-24 win at home over the Cowboys. The Eagles have won three in a row over the Giants, including a 40-17 win in Philadelphia in Week 8. There’s everything to play for in New York this weekend.

Eagles vs Giants betting odds maker breakdown: Offense
The Eagles are 11th in the league in offense, and they had their way with the Falcons, racking up 380 yards on just 55 players. Even Michael Vick got some extended playing time, and he accounted for two touchdowns against his former team. The Eagles are missing players like Brian Westbrook and DeSean Jackson, but they just keep plugging players in.
The Giants are a surprisingly eighth in the league offensively, and it’s a surprise because their ground game isn’t the force it was last year. Still, the Giants are 10th in the league on the ground, and they averaged 4.3 yards in their win over Dallas. Eli Manning hooked six times with Steve Smith for 110 yards against the Cowboys, averaging 21.9 yards per completion.

Eagles vs Giants betting odds maker breakdown: Defense
Philadelphia was all over the Falcons at the Georgia Dome, holding them to 295 yards, including 61 on the ground, and forcing three turnovers. The Eagles are sixth in the league in sacks, and their gameplan is to blitz, blitz, and blitz some more. Only three this year have they allowed a team to score 24 points or more.
The Giants gave up plenty of yards against the Cowboys, especially through the air, and they stopped Dallas on only eight of their 17 third-down opportunities. But they held the Cowboys to 2.0 yards per carry on the ground, and they certainly tightened up in the second half of the game. The Giants are still a solid sixth in defense, only one spot ahead of the Eagles.

Eagles vs Giants betting odds maker breakdown: Notable Injuries
Westbrook (concussion) and Jackson (concussion) are both being monitored closely, and Westbrook is probably the more likely to play, but even that is up in the air.
Guard Chris Snee (knee) left the Dallas game early, and it didn’t look good for the Giants’ offensive lineman.

Eagles vs Giants betting odds for total: 46
Five of the last seven between these two gone under the posted total in your sportsbook, but the Giants have scored 65 points in their last two games at home, while the Eagles have scored at least 23 points in their last four games, despite their injuries.
Pick: OVER 46
Eagles vs Giants betting breakdown: Outlook and Pick
The Giants have struggled at home against the spread, going 2-3-1 ATS, while the Eagles are 4-2 ATS away from home. New York is also 3-5-1 ATS as a favorite, but the Eagles are 1-2 as an underdog. The Giants were 2-point favorites when they were trounced in Philadelphia, giving up three touchdowns of 40 yards or more. Eli Manning has a 76.4 career rating in 11 meetings with the Eagles, while Donovan McNabb’s is 89.3 in 17 games against the Giants. McNabb won’t outplay Manning as badly this time, but he’ll still lead the Eagles to a crucial victory.
