Eagles vs Redskins Odds - Philly will outgun punchless Washington
Eagles vs Redskins odds would typically get NFC East fans excited, but Washington has been completely punchless this season. That's very troublesome for the Redskins, as Donovan McNabb and the Eagles are raring to show off on Monday night after an underwhelming nine-point effort against the Raiders last weekend.

Eagles vs Redskins odds maker breakdown: The Storyline
Sportsbook fans got a nice gut punch last weekend when Philadelphia lost 13-9 to the Raiders. It's a nightmare scenario for the Eagles since the Giants and Redskins lost, plus Dallas had a bye, meaning Philly could have gained some ground in the NFC East by beating up on a weaker opponent. Washington, meanwhile, continued its awful season with a 14-6 home loss to the Chiefs. Jason Campbell was finally benched in favor of Todd Collins after going 9/16 for just 89 yards. The Redskins' season has been a complete season, and it's almost impossible to believe head coach Jim Zorn will last the season.
Eagles vs Redskins odds maker breakdown: Offense
Campbell has largely been blamed for the offensive woes in Washington, but he's not the only culprit - after all, Collins struggled too after being inserted at halftime. Regardless, this is a bad, bad offensive team. The Redskins have played Kansas City, St. Louis and Tampa Bay at home this season - who have a combined 1-17 record - and scored just 31 total points. That's embarrassing. Philly's effort against Oakland was embarrassing too. The Eagles put up just 283 total yards last week. Any Reid's offense is offense is usually imbalanced, but it might have cost him this time - Donovan McNabb threw 46 passes while averaging just 5.8 yards per attempt. The Eagles ground attack averaged 4.8 per pop but was given just 14 opportunities. This is still a very talented group of players, though, and their explosiveness should be back on display against Washington. Betting Edge: Eagles
Eagles vs Redskins odds maker breakdown: Defense
You have to feel sorry for Washington's defenders. They're ranked fifth in the NFL in points allowed at 16 per outing, but the offense continues to let them down. The Redskins can pressure the quarterback though, oddly, they haven't notched many takeaways as a result. Those should come, but there's growing concern this unit is going to tire out trying to carry the team. Philadelphia can likewise rush the passer and it notched two interceptions against Oakland last week. A lot of critics pounced on the Eagles "D" after a Week 2 blowout to New Orleans but the Saints are carving up everybody; remove that game from the equation and Philly is allowing less than 13 points per game. Betting Edge: Eagles
Eagles vs Redskins odds maker breakdown: Notable Injuries
Philadelphia's list of "probable" players keeps growing, but that's not really a concern. Washington is healthy unless betting fans count Zorn or Campbell as a "Dead Man Walking." Betting Edge: Even
Eagles vs Redskins odds for total: 37.5
Washington's defense has the horses to keep this one close for a while, but the team isn't going to score very many points - if it scores any. The under is your safer bet. Pick: UNDER 37.5
Eagles vs Redskins betting breakdown: Outlook and Pick
Philadelphia has something to prove after a brutal loss to the Raiders last week. The Redskins have something to prove too, but they haven't been able to get up for a game for their owners, coach or even themselves to this point. Monday night won't be any different. With the Eagles gunning for respect, bet on Philly. STAN’S PICK: Eagles -7
