Giants Eagles Betting – Giants Hoping Vick Isn’t Faking It Ahead Of Week Three Showdown
Regardless of whether or not players in the uniform of the New York Giants were faking injuries, their fans have to be hoping that Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Michael Vick is serious about his. Vick left in the second half of an eventual 35-31 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in his return to the Georgia Dome last week after suffering a concussion, and almost on cue the Eagles faltered and gave up 14 unanswered points in sports betting defeat. The Pro Bowl quarterback’s status for the game has not been confirmed, but the Giants are definitely hoping he isn’t faking it.

NFL Betting Lines: Philadelphia Eagles – 5.5
Philadelphia has won seven straight meetings in this series, including a win in the final week of last season that pushed the Giants out of postseason contention. New York is after more than just revenge this week, and will do everything they can to end their longest losing streak against the Eagles in more than two decades.
NFL Betting Preview: New York Giants
The Giants have looked strong defending the run, but that could have something to do with the fact that they have been decimated through the air with both the Washington Redskins and St. Louis Rams surpassing the 300 passing yards mark. Much of that has to do with the fact that New York’s defense has been decimated by injuries to several starters, although they could welcome back a key piece in defensive end Osi Umenyiora. With the running game struggling to get going behind a relatively mediocre offensive line, there will be pressure on quarterback Eli Manning to raise his level of play. Manning has averaged 234 passing yards through his first two games with just two touchdowns compared to two interceptions, and the Giants will need him to be better. His job became even tougher this week with the loss of Domenik Hixon, who tore his right ACL for the second straight year in Monday night’s win.NFL Betting Preview: Philadelphia Eagles
Even though quarterback Mike Kafka completed seven of his nine passes, he couldn’t engineer a scoring drive and that hurt the Eagles when it counted the most in Sunday’s loss. Philadelphia will need whoever is at quarterback to take advantage of the Giants’ banged up defense and help open some holes for running back LeSean McCoy. On defense, nobody doubted that the Eagles would be strong against the pass, but the fact that they gave up 138 rushing yards to the Falcons proves they are not the most complete unit.NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
Much of this game depends on the health of Vick. If he is healthy enough to play four quarters than this game should belong to the Eagles, but if he is held back then the Giants should be able to keep it close. New York will attempt to pound the rock with running backs Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs to open things up for Manning, and how the Philadelphia run defense handles that will be the second biggest sports betting bonus factor for the Eagles aside from Vick.
NFL Betting Pick: Philadelphia Eagles – 5.5
