Jaguars Chargers Betting – Chargers Looking For Redemption Versus Jags In Week Two
The San Diego Chargers cannot seem to shake the aura of being a team that chokes early on in the season. After a Monday night loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in which the Chargers had four opportunities to punch the ball in from the four-yard line, it seems as though San Diego repeatedly falters early on in the year only to have a solid November/December and get back into the postseason in an AFC West division that features a lack of contenders. The Jacksonville Jaguars would undoubtedly prefer to switch divisions with the Chargers, as after opening week, the only team in the AFC South without a win is the defending AFC Champion Indianapolis Colts, who actually lost to the Houston Texans in a divisional game.

Why To Bet On The Jaguars?
Boosted by a strong performance from running back Maurice Jones-Drew, the Jaguars surprised at least a few people by holding on to beat the Denver Broncos 24-17 last Sunday. Jones-Drew rushed for a game-high 98 yards on over four yards per carry, helping to open things up in the passing game for quarterback David Garrard, who threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Mike Thomas had a big game, catching six passes for 89 yards to pace the Jaguars’ passing game. The win was huge for a franchise that has struggled with fan support and has had notable blackouts in the past couple of seasons, but Jacksonville will need to continue that sports betting streak this week when they take on the Chargers.
Why To Bet On The Chargers?
San Diego cannot seem to play the month of September without a little controversy, and despite having one of the most talented rosters in the entire NFL, always seem to come up a little short in the opening month. That was the case in rain-soaked conditions this past Monday in Kansas City, where San Diego had four opportunities to get in to the end zone against the Chiefs but couldn’t get the ball across the goal line. San Diego quarterback Phillip Rivers did a good job given the circumstances, but will need to be more precise without the sloppy weather conditions. Without wide receiver Vincent Jackson, the onus will be on Legedu Naanee and Antonio Gates to make sure that they stop dropping passes, something that plagued them in opening week.
How The Game Will Play Out
Despite their inconsistencies in the early parts of the football betting season, the Chargers are too strong not to get the win at home in front of the home fans. The Jaguars played a Broncos team that doesn’t compare to San Diego, and barely held on for the one-score victory. That won’t happen this weekend however, as the Jaguars will try to keep it respectable against a hungry Chargers’ team.
