Lions Bills Betting – Bills Still Have Work To Do In Final Preseason Game
The majority of the time there isn’t much stock put into the outcome of NFL sports betting preseason games, but every once in a while there is an exception to that rule. Given the way that the New England Patriots had dominated their first two preseason opponents, it was on the Detroit Lions to make a statement when the two teams met last week. The Lions responded by not only slowing the Patriots’ attack, but rather by blowing away New England 34-10 to remain undefeated this preseason with one final date against the Buffalo Bills left to play this Thursday.

NFL Betting Lines: Detroit Lions – 1.5
While the Lions have looked dominant this preseason there are still more than a few question marks surrounding a Buffalo team that needed overtime to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars at home last week and clinch their first exhibition win.
NFL Betting Preview: Detroit Lions
The Lions feel as though this is finally the year that they are ready to take a step forward in the NFC, with the chance to compete for at least a Wild Card spot. If that decision was based on their performance so far this preseason there is little doubt that they would be in, but there is still a long way to go until they get close to clinching one of their many goals for this year. Matthew Stafford has looked like a capable franchise quarterback and the offense has really developed around him. Stafford likely won’t see much time this week however, as the Lions turn their attention to a week one date at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
NFL Betting Preview: Buffalo Bills
Inconsistencies have already began to show through with the Bills, and it will be on head coach Chan Gailey to make sure they are addressed over these final days before the regular season begins. Ryan Fitzpatrick finally showed his capabilities in the win over the Jaguars as he threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns while completing 11-of-12 passes. The offense came alive with Fitzpatrick leading the way, but the problem was that the defense allowed 32. The Bills’ defense has shown flashes of its pass-rush ability, and that potential to get pressure on the opposition quarterback will be a key to their sports betting bonus success.
NFL Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
For obvious reasons this game means a lot more to the Bills than it does to Detroit, and they should be able to get some things done with Tyler Thigpen leading the offense for most of the game. The Lions have already proven their merit this preseason and can now turn some of their attention to their opener against Tampa Bay, while Buffalo still has some things to figure out in the final dress rehearsal before the regular season gets underway.
NFL Betting Pick: Buffalo Bills + 1.5
