Packers vs Lions Betting Odds - Streaking Packers serve up Lions on Thanksgiving platter
Online betting players don’t know what to think about Green Bay, one of the hardest teams to pick. They’ll head to Detroit for their 19th Thanksgiving meeting, facing a Lions team that will have confidence coming into this game. However, the Lions are a bit banged up on both sides of the ball, and that may lead to a Thanksgiving slaughter.

Packers vs Lions betting odds maker breakdown: The Storyline
The Packers (6-4) have won two in a row after their embarrassing loss to Tampa Bay, and their offense seems to be coming to life, even giving Aaron Rodgers some time to sit back in the pocket in a 30-24 win over San Francisco. The Lions (2-8) won a wild 38-37 game against Cleveland in which Matt Stafford won it with a last-second touchdown pass, even with an injured shoulder. The Lions has been long over, while the Packers are still fighting to stay in the playoff race.

Packers vs Lions betting odds maker breakdown: Offense
Green Bay dominated the ball against the 49ers with over 41 minutes of possession, and Rodgers was sacked only twice in the contest. He was 32-of-45 for 344 yards and two touchdowns, while Ryan Grant had his first 100-yard game since Week 7 with 129 yards and a score. With a consistent rushing attack and protection, what kind of numbers would have Rodgers put up?
The Lions had a field day against the Browns, and Stafford threw for 422 yards and five touchdowns, making up for his two picks. Calvin Johnson had 161 yards and a score as the Lions’ aerial attack was clicking on all cylinders. However, the ground game had only 57 yards.

Packers vs Lions betting odds maker breakdown: Defense
After a strong performance against Green Bay, the Packers had a solid day against the 49ers, allowing only 284 yards. However, they let San Francisco back into the game with a couple of late touchdowns. A better team would take advantage of any concentration lapses the Packers may have.
True to form, the Detroit defense was terrible against the Browns, allowing 439 yards and forcing no turnovers. They also managed to sack Brady Quinn only once, and they gave up 131 yards against the Browns...not a good look.

Packers vs Lions betting odds maker breakdown: Notable Injuries
Al Harris (knee) and Aaron Kamperman (knee) were both hurt against the 49ers, which puts a dent in their defense. Kamperman was already battling a concussion.
Stafford (shoulder) was in a lot of pain at the end of the Cleveland game, and even though X-rays were negative, it doesn’t look good for the rookie. Ernie Sims (hamstring) sat out against the Browns, as did Kalvin Pearson (hamstring), which hurts their defensive depth.

Packers vs Lions betting odds for total: (--)
The sportsbook lines for this game aren’t out yet as books await the status of Stafford’s injury, but four of their last five have gone over the posted total. Given the absolute atrocity that is Detroit’s defense, the Packers should be able to light up the Lions. We’re waiting on the total, but the over is a safe choice.
Pick: OVER
Packers vs Lions betting breakdown: Outlook and Pick
The Lions have dropped nine of their last 10 against the Packers, including eight in a row. It wasn’t looking good for Detroit with Stafford in the lineup, but now if he can’t go, who do they have? Daunte Culpepper? Drew Stanton? That just screams incompetence. The Packers’ defense will want to make a statement after giving up those late scores, and the Green Bay offense...well, let’s just say that 30 points is a minimum.
