Packers vs Rams Odds - Packers "D" will blitz Bulger, lowly Rams
Online sports betting players haven’t seen an offense as bad as St. Louis in a while, as it's put up a paltry seven points in its first two games under Steve Spagnuolo. The Rams host Green Bay on Sunday, and the Packers’ revamped defense will tee off on Rams pivot Marc Bulger, who may be a sitting duck behind an ailing offensive line.

Packers vs Rams odds maker breakdown: The Storyline
The Packers (1-1) should be angry after being upset by Cincinnati at home last week, which doesn’t bode well for the Rams (0-2), who may just be the worst team in the league. The NFL betting line is a reflection of just how big of a rebuilding task new coach Steve Spagnuolo has on his hands.
Packers vs Rams odds maker breakdown: Offense
Green Bay’s offense has struggled a bit to start the season after a great preseason, and Aaron Rodgers has only completed 56.7% of his passes. The offensive line was destroyed by Cincinnati’s Antwan Odom for five sacks in the Packers’ 31-24 loss to the Bengals, and Ryan Grant has 107 yards in the first two games of the season. St. Louis has averaged 246.0 yards in the first two games, but Marc Bulger looks to be almost fully recovered from a finger injury. He’s only completed 50.0% of his passes so far this year, but it doesn’t help that he has awful receivers. Steven Jackson has been the lone bright spot for the Rams. Betting Edge: Packers
Packers vs Rams odds maker breakdown: Defense
The Packers are much more unpredictable since moving to the 3-4 defense, but they did give up 151 yards on the ground to the Bengals. Their strength is pass defense, and Charles Woodson already has two picks, including one returned for a score. First-round pick BJ Raji has yet to play because of a sprained ankle. Spagnuolo came to St. Louis after masterminding the great New York Giants’ defense, so the Rams should be a little improved in that area. At least they gave their team a chance to win in last week’s 9-7 loss to Washington, holding the Redskins to three field goals. Rookie James Laurinaitis is catching onto the NFL quickly, racking up 22 tackles in his first two games. Betting Edge: Packers
Packers vs Rams odds maker breakdown: Notable Injuries
Tackle Chad Clifton (ankle) played only a half against the Bengals, and his replacement, Daryn Colledge was eaten alive by Odom for four of his five sacks. Raji (ankle) is going to try and practice this week as well. Rookie tackle Jason Smith (knee) is doubtful for this contest, and fellow lineman Jason Brown (knee) also went down against the Redskins. None of this is good news for Bulger and Jackson in the backfield. Betting Edge: Draw
Packers vs Rams odds maker breakdown: Totals
These two have combined for an average of 26.0 points, with only 3.5 per game of those coming from the Rams. Seven points in two games is terrible no matter how you slice it, and their injuries up front won’t help. The Packers’ offense hasn’t been all that great, and the Rams’ defense is a little better, so go under here.
Packers vs Rams odds betting breakdown: Outlook and Pick
Since 2002, the Packers and Rams have met five times, with St. Louis winning three of those matchups. However, two of those came back in 2002 and 2003, when the Rams were still the “Greatest Show on Turf”. Those times are long gone, and now St. Louis will just be happy to break double-digits. Homefield means nothing to the Rams, who have dropped nine of their last 10 at Edward Jones Stadium. Bulger isn’t much of a mobile quarterback, but he may have to be behind an offensive line that may be missing some crucial parts. Rodgers and the Green Bay have had their problems, but they’ll do enough to cover the spread in your offshore sportsbook. DJ’S PICK: Packers -6.5; UNDER 41
