Raiders Broncos Betting – Raiders’ Offensive Woes Continue In Denver
Sports betting players should be entertained watching a wide-open AFC West, and two West rivals will square off on Sunday when Oakland heads to Denver in a matchup of banged-up teams. The Raiders have their injuries at quarterback, and they don’t even know who is going to lead them as of yet. That’s going to play into Denver’s hands.

What’s On The Line
The Oakland Raiders (2-4) are now 0-3 on the road after a 17-9 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but they’re still in contention in the crowded AFC West. The Broncos (2-4) are in the same boat after a 24-20 loss at home to the New York Jets, and they have a slew of injuries to worry about. But in this West rivalry, there is always a lot at stake, especially bragging rights. These teams straight up don’t like each other.
Offensive Matchups: Raiders Broncos Betting
Jason Campbell was awful against the 49ers, and that may be being too generous. He went 8-of-21 for 83 yards and a pair of picks, and you know it’s bad when Raider fans are clamoring for the return of Bruce Gradkowski. It also didn’t help that running back Darren McFadden was injured as well, because he gives them a legitimate option running the ball, which is needed with Campbell under center. Now, word is, Campbell may not be able to go either, which leaves Kyle Boller…..yeah, have fun with that, Raider fans.
Kyle Orton had his 300-yard streak stopped at four games, which is fair considering the defense he was going up against. Orton was 14-of-34 for 209 yards and a touchdown, but really, the Broncos still had every opportunity to win this game. A pair of fumbles didn’t help, and the running game had a tough time getting a foothold against the Jets. Look for Knowshon Moreno to make a big impact for the Broncos here.

Defensive Matchups: Raiders Broncos Betting
The Raiders are 22nd in the league defensively, but they’re 30th against the run as teams test the front seven over the secondary, arguably the best unit on the entire team. The 49ers ran for 149 yards on them, which also allowed them to hold onto the ball for over 33 minutes. If they could sort out the run defense even a little bit, that would be a big help because the pass defense is actually pretty good. Cornerback Nmandi Asomugha isn’t even getting tested much these days.
The Broncos are only slightly better in 19th place defensively, and they could be in trouble this week as starting corners Champ Bailey and Andre Goodman missed practice on Wednesday, and safety Brian Dawkins is ailing as well. It’s a good thing that the Raiders don’t have much of a passing game to take advantage of this. They really do miss linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who was injured in the preseason after leading the NFL in sacks last season: the Broncos have just seven so far this season.

Notable Injuries: Raiders Broncos Betting
Gradkowski (shoulder) and Campbell (knee) split first-team reps with Boller, and this will likely be a game-time decision. McFadden (hamstring) will try to get through Thursday’s practice, while backup tight end Brandon Myers (concussion) probably won’t suit up for the Raiders.
Bailey (heel) didn’t practice, but he’ll likely play. Goodman (thigh) probably won’t be so lucky, and Dawkins (knee) is touch-and-go as well. Receivers Eddie Royal (groin) and Brandon Lloyd (personal) are also question marks for the Broncos.

Outlook and Pick: Raiders Broncos Betting
NFL betting odds have the Denver Broncos as an 8-point favorite at home, where they are 3-2 SU in their last five games against the Raiders, but only 1-4 ATS. The Raiders are 0-3 on the road so far, and their problems at quarterback may be too much to overcome, even with the Denver secondary as beat up as it is. Look for the Broncos to grind out the game on offense, while using different coverages to confuse whoever the Oakland quarterback will be. We’re taking the Broncos to cover the online betting spread in this NFL matchup.
Stan’s Pick: Denver Broncos
