Rams Cardinals Betting – The Re-Building In Arizona Keeps Unwinding As the Cardinals Lose at Home
With the Breeder’s Cup betting almost over and the NFL at the halfway point of the season, it is safe to say that neither the St. Louis Rams nor Arizona Cardinals are going to make the playoffs this year. Both of these teams had such high hopes going into the season, and now they are battling each other to stay out of the NFC West basement. Unfortunately for Arizona, it is St. Louis who is better-equipped to pull themselves up and try to make a run at an 8-8 season.

The Cardinals invested in talent during the off-season such as quarterback Kevin Kolb. But it doesn’t look like the team is coming together to become a winner. Running back Tim Hightower was sent to Washington and Beanie Wells was made the starter. But Wells has sustained a lot of injuries this season and that is part of the reason why Arizona just cannot get going.
Rams Cardinals Betting Preview: St. Louis Rams
The Rams cannot get any production out of the quarterback position. Second-year starter Sam Bradford suffered a high ankle sprain in week five and is just starting to get to the point where he can return. But even with Bradford in the lineup, the Rams cannot score. Bradford has only thrown three touchdown passes in five starts this season. Backup A.J. Feeley has had two starts and he has only thrown one touchdown pass. Running back Steven Jackson appears to be the only player capable of scoring points as he has four touchdowns in six games played, but he has been injured as well. The online sportsbook football fans in St. Louis are hoping to have Jackson and Bradford on the field in this game, and they are hoping that Bradford finds his rhythm.
Rams Cardinals Betting Preview: Arizona Cardinals
Things are not all bad in Arizona. The team does have some positive elements to work with. Kevin Kolb is improving as the starting quarterback, but the only receiver he has to throw to is Larry Fitzgerald. Once teams neutralize Fitzgerald, Kolb is out of options. Running back Beanie Wells is on pace for a 1,000 yard season but he keeps getting hurt. Where the Cardinals could use some help is in the defensive secondary. The Cardinals have the 27th ranked defense in the NFL and it is ranked 30th against the pass. The Cardinals are having all kinds of problems in the secondary that has opened the team up to getting beaten by big plays.
Rams Cardinals Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick
If Sam Bradford ever wanted a defensive secondary to gain his confidence with, then the Cardinals have that secondary. The key battle in this game is the St. Louis offense against the Arizona defense. With Steven Jackson and Sam Bradford both in the lineup for St. Louis, that gives the edge to the Rams.
